Hi Sintubin,

Scorched Earth is not a public online war that you simply register for like Bellum, COT etc. So there is no big marketing push to gather pilots like for those wars.

Instead, Scorched Earth is a complete, free *system* for running/hosting your own online wars. People around the world download the software, configure it and then create their own tailored online wars using the very flexible campaign model inside Scorched Earth, with support for 17 different ETO and PTO maps.

Scorched Earth provides a very detailed, persistent and dynamic campaign environment in which all losses count, and in which opposing commanders have FULL CONTROL over all of their forces, and can keep their plans SECRET from the enemy. Because of the complex nature of the resulting campaigns, demands on commanders and players are high (typically full real settings, dynamic weather, constant uncertainty), so this isn't for everyone. But if you pride yourself on hard-core, ultra-real simulations, then this is the ONLY online war system for you. This is what our users say. Here is the Summary Statistics from a recent PNG campaign in Australia http://www.fauna.com.au/ozfb/ScorchedEarth/MP4/Statisti...php?Sector=NewGuinea (http://www.fauna.com.au/ozfb/ScorchedEarth/MP4/Statistics/MP-Missions.php?Sector=NewGuinea).

Recently added features: Carrier operations, freight transport, beach landings, glider operations, airbase and aircraft capture; temporary airbase support is about to be released. Of course, ALL ships, vehicles and aircraft are fully supported and available for orders in all SE campaigns (excluding V1, Ohka, Mistel, and I-16 drones).

Cheers,
4Shades

As I've recommended on other boards, I recommend that anyone interested in running their own campaign or taking part in another squadron's mini-campaign should get in contact with the CO's of the squadrons that have their campaigns listed on our calendar. Alternatively, just post in our forum the times your squadron tends to fly, and let it be know that you want to fly in a short campaign against another squadron or two. You may occasionally see me in Hyperlobby as well as Murdock_SE, running an open demo mission , so feel free to page me for more info as well.

Also,if you want to try and setup a server on one of your squadron members pc and need help, post on our forum or email us at scorchedearth@yahoogroups.com
