View Full Version : IL2 sticks: Changing sensitivities for HOTAS controls more easily ...

Hi,

After installing and using 4.01m, I found the sensitivity settings for HOTAS controls were far more important than before. Especially when using a multi-controller setup, as changing these settings can only be done by editing conf.ini.

Correction: could only be done by editing conf.ini
As I started programming ...

IL2-Sticks is now in it's Beta version, and it's available for download at Airwarfare, here (http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/fb_essential_files.htm#087)
(Thanks Euro_Snoopy!)

If you have a multicontroller setup and you think tinkering with the sensitivies is too much of a hassle now: get this tool, and benefit from it!

Besides editing conf.ini more easily, there's also the option to save sensitivity settings into a seperate profile. Like having specific profiles for specific aircrafts.
Changing between those aircraft and assigning their settings to the game could be as simple as selecting the profile, and save it to conf.ini ...

Comment on it here (http://www.airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=641) (Thread in forum at Airwarfare)

Have Fun!

And bump again (last time from me)

My final bump too ....

(Seeing the enthousiasm here, along with the 0 (zero) comments on the Airwarfare Thread (http://www.airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=641) and the only one question - wich has already been answered - at SimHq ... well, I might as well call it Final and leave it at that!)

So, this is a bump and another call to comment on it here (http://www.airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=641).
('Comment' as in found bugs, ideas, suggestions and whatnot)

Have Fun!

FT,

You are my hero!

My old gameport CH CombatStick is my throttle and rudder and my CH FighterStick USB is my "stick". Unfortunately, IL2 sees the gameport stick as #1, and the usb as #2. So, it's a big PIA to adjust the sensitivity of my main controller and trim sliders manually in the conf.ini. I do it only when absolutely necessary. Your utility really simplifies this alot.

THANKS!
Cloyd

I didn't comment at Airwarfare because it's a register site.

But it's a great utility that's made a real difference to my set up.
