View Full Version : Do you know what I hate about this place?

Its the fact that every one is having a go at every one else, and trying to make their way of playing FB the only way. For example people who play full real ****ging off people who play with stalls and spins turned off, or FW190 pilots ****ging the I-153 guys, or your really lame if you fly blah, or I think that this view is blah and its not realistic, or if you fly with the the cockpit turned off you should have your copy of the game confiscated and your computer stuck up your ***.

This game is a lot of different things to a lot of different people, and it allows freedom of settings to suit. So why cant people just accept that others will play it differently, with different settings? I mean if the game cut out a section of gamers by not allowing somthing or other to be enabeled or disabeled the the number of people who would buy the game would reduce and therefore the funding for expansion patches or extra aircraft would be less. I mean surely it does not matter how you play it as long as you play it, and online, with people who play it the same way, as long as no one is forcing anyone else to do anything then everyone is happy, right?

O.K. totally agreed... I wonder if there's a way to get some people to understand that. What about, let's say, guys with low-end PC's?
Like me for example, how I'm suppose to fly full real with low fps + don't even see enemy cause I don't have BIG screen or latest VGA's... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif etc.
Real world is real world, but this is only a game, and were are suppose to have fun with it and not to hit ESC key and frustrating shut down the PC http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Such little things, these that we argue over. It makes a nice diversion from bills, work, noisy neighbors, politics, and other worldly affairs.

What annoys me is people who can't figure it all out.

If you take this forum seriously, you are the one with flaw. Laugh it off.

VonShlagnoff, human beings have difficulties to understand, no to mention to accept, different points of view. Sad but true.

We all can understand, even with envy, that guy below. I doubt others would.

I agree Baldie, this is an escape and entertainment. I don't believe the aircraft characteristics are accurate, I don't like some maps, and some important planes are missing but who cares? Buying IL-2 and FB has been the best spent money of my life. No other flight sim comes close and won't for a while. I bounce MK108's off wooden airplanes, but I love it. Thanx a bunch Oleg! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

****ging is normal. Enjoy it, just don't call people names or start sending offensive PM's.

Its a balancing act. You try to get your jabs in, avoid your opponents shots, all the while, avoiding the mods' knock-out punches.

Fun to be had by all.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

It's only natural that there should be differences of opinion. If we all agreed on everything, this would be an incredibly boring forum.

I like the exchange of views, and don't mind if not everyone, or even if not *most* agree with me. I find the debate fun (er, at least it is when you can find someone who can debate with you).

All you a-holes had better start flying I-16s on the Moscow map. And fly only at 5:30pm, when the sun is setting.

"So when Diogenes perceived that he was greatly excited and quite keyed up in mind with expectancy, he toyed with him and pulled him about in the hope that somehow he might be moved from his pride and thirst for glory and be able to sober up a little. For he noticed that at one time he was delighted, and at another grieved at the same thing, and that his soul was as unsettled as the weather at the solstices when both rain and sunshine come from the very same source."

(Dio Chrysostom "Discourse" 4.77-78)
