Want to try online. Where's a good place to go for full real?

Afraid I'm a bit clueless as to how this works.

For the most games you want to download hyperlobby and play there, you will find a good selection of full real games and a lot of players, BUT most of the games will be for the merged versions, IE IL2FB, AEP add on and Pacific Fighters all merged.... there will be the odd standalone version... If you have the likes of PF only then you might find more users on UbiCom which is packaged with the game..

for Hyperlobby go download the latest version from

Welcome greycow.

First go here:

download and install the Hyperlobby Client software.

Once installed you will be where the majority of people play online. In the list on your left will be the servers. Click on the name and a brief description of the server (type of mission/version of the game being played etc) will be displayed as well as the difficuly option enabled/disabled.

Look for Greatergreen It has an excellent reputation as a FR server.

Hope this helped.

GreaterGreen is a good ,almost, full difficulty server.
It has friendly icons enabled so u see friendlies at a certain distance. enemies have no icons.
Personally I think this set up is the best because in the real world one could identify planes up to 1000m wich cant be done in the sim.

On Full difficulty servers this limitation in the sim makes it unnescesarily favorable for the power-rides.
Without icons u have to get unrealisticly close to identify a plane. This means that if u are in an inferior plane with poor performance and go and check out a plane wich shows to be a power-ride it's too late to escape.
So no icon settings leads to this imbalance and favors the planes wich already have all the good cards.

However, no icons may be ok if the planes are very balanced (equal) but that is very rare 1 in 100 cases or less (my opinion)

With that said there is a Full difficulty server wich I like, and that is "Zekes vs widcats" server, wich have pacific missions only, but the planesets are sometimes balanced wich shows that the people behind it actually knows a bit about planes and their specs.

There ofcourse are others that are ok too but at the moment I prefer these two.

a few thoughts.
