She's a beauty. I like the way the low-angle sunlight gives an orange reflection.

Looking a little worse for wear, but probably about right for a tyical BoB-era bomber. I doubt that touching up the paintwork was much of a priority.

That is beautiful indeed.

This is exactly where it's at for me. Late 30's crates built from bits of balsa, the odd girder and cloth panels sewn together by the WI.

None of your super-boosted warp factor Reno racers from 44-45, give me a Wellington, Hurricane, Battle, 109E and Do-17 any day!

I get the feeling SoW is going to be astounding for movie makers (and the rest of us!)

Is the Wimpy going to be flyable from the off?

We NEED the Wellington to be flyable from the outset, so that reds have a bomber in online mini-war servers.

He111 for the blues, Wellington for the reds. Perfect balance for online battles.

When the proper lighting, Ansio, anti Aliasing and finishing is applied, that Wellington is going to be close to photo realistic.

The aircraft is simply gorgeous.

Even if there was some official word that yes, it may yet turn out like poor ol' Betty. So I would say that even if we were given some official answer - there is sadly no way to know for sure.

Not flyable guys. But we will have the Bristol Bolingbroke.

SOW cannot be that good, can it?

I get the impression that when it`s finally released it`s going to blow every other sim (and maybe even every game) outta the sky.

I refuse to believe so, until I see it on release.

I'm starting to wonder what sort of PC is required to run SOW smoothly, particularly in the crowded enviroment; there is huge amount of polygons in that Wellington.

Indeed! When I was active in WW2OL, I really missed the Wellington. It would be a perfect pair for the mainstay He 111..

What??? Not the usual reply "when it's ready"? I truly hope this game is everything we want it to be. I'm just afraid expectations will be so high it can't possibly match those ideals no matter how great it is. Too many of the my glass is half empty type posters around here.

That's logical, Oleg said that his budget cannot afford to develop beyond 2010. considering some delays, time for final testing, printing, packaging and distribution, I'd say that's a logical conclusion.
Still, the current weekly updates make me (illogically) more optimistic than that, and the Sep 15th 2010 could be another plausible launch date.

So hold on for one year !

I really enjoyed my free trial on WWOL, do you still play or have you heard how it is these days?

I remember the Bf109 being a bit of a b*tch to fly on that game however. As I was a noob I stuck to the Hurri>Spit1>SpitV before my trial ran out. I tried the 109 a few times, but it was much harder to handle than Il2's 109.

That's possible if there is some sort of serious delay, but last statement from Oleg was that many people would be playing SoW by Oct. 2010.
