Too much time and effort required for that sort of thing, efforts are being directed towards SoW:BoB.

Original FB 1.0 cockpits are sufficient for gameplay which is what needs work such as new advances in AI programming among other things.

Fly one of the Perfect New Cockpits, admire the Perfection, look out the window, and step back two generations of grafix.

MiG-3 cockpit is still the best in this series, as its my fave WW2 plane, and a MiG-3 cockpit is so rare in WW2 combat flight sims...that makes it the best.

hehe, Oleg at work, on MiG-...this came from the ubi PF site, and the link says MiG-1.

Not just the C/P's, but what if they made all the ground vehicals drive able?

This way, when you get shot down, you can steel a tank hand seek revenge.

what if, as a final gift to the fans they made the whole world and placed all the different maps we have in their proper locations and then gave as a few, say 8 heavy bombers to fly! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

Well most is likely only wishful thinking!
But if it is not mentioned again and again the same mistakes or omissions will happen in BoB or SoW. After all what everyone would like is the best WWII flight sim available right?

One of the problems with Oleg giving any sort of "parting gift" is that he's stated the possibility of opening IL2 up to selected 3rd parties. Including 'quickie' cockpits (or allowing planes to be flown in no-cockpit or "Wonder Woman" view if there is no proper 3D pit) may impact those 3rd parties' plans.

Personally, I think the ultra-high standard Oleg has set for cockpits is a bit on the unreasonable side. For some a/c there are not any "good enough" references and others are too time-consuming (heavy bombers, PBY, etc.) to meet Oleg's criteria. This has resulted in many important or popular aircraft not being able to be included in the game. Sure, having such high standards looks nice on paper, but does it really make the game that much better or more fun?

Well with the due respect to the guys who do their labours of love (mostly for free I guess )and acknowledging some very nice work, some, if not much,(if not most....)of the third party (amateur) stuff that goes into CFS3/Strike Fighters etc is just not great and some is just downright awful.I feel this degrades already inferior(to IL2!!!) sims....Im glad that Oleg has kept a tight rein on the quality control and that the '20 cannon' cheats/ mods are very few and far between.

EDITed for ranting personal sloppiness -- I missed that in yellow, sorry!

That's what I focus on (StrikeFighers+), the good stuff, and alot of it is very nice stuff indeed.

Yes, that does make sense where you are coming from. You got, or "felt" you got, Cheated out of online kill scores while playing Microsoft sims Online. According to Tagert, there was little or no cheating in Microsoft's Online sims, but only angry and community destroying accusations of cheating. No matter, Oleg said he will probably seperate the Offline and Online play versions of BoB And Beyond.
