It doesnt fix everything yet, but this patch came a heck of alot faster then I expected. Maybe another one in a month or so?? My faith is restored that this game will see (almost) full potential. And with all the modding being done...this virtual world is our oyster!!!!
Now of to catch myself in an AS net!!!!

Yes, just today I was wondering whether the devs might have occupied themselves with SHIV plans, but I'm glad I was wrong - as I hoped to be http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It's awesome. I say this again: all the complainers - name me another game that gets two patches within 3 weeks of release. You don't get much better support than that!

Maybe because some games don't need it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Yes, I agree, and that's too bad. But when a game is released incomplete, it's not always because of the devs, and I think the devs are showing their commitment here in a big way. But they were working on a very limited time and budget. They're not Valve and Half-Life 2, which could afford to be delayed as long as they liked...

Personally, I think this game was released a little early. I get CTD's more often than i can handle, I have yet to finish a third patrol because it keeps crashing. But as long as they fix it in the long run im ok.

CTD? Really?

Give your PC a looking-over. My game has crashed only twice in 80 hours of play; so it's probably your setup and not the program.

I would say it was released early because of some notable missing features, and rough edges on some of the essential code (like depth, etc.)

My setup has never acted up like this before...And I play alot of different games. It very well can be something on my system, but nothing else reacts to it this way... Im not too worried about it though...ill just wait till it works itself out.

BUT!!!

One big qualification here:

I will only attain unshakeable faith in the Devs understanding of our needs when they release a full SDK

Ubi Romania! PLEASE HEAR US!

SDK! SDK! SDK! SDK! SDK! SDK!

Everyone with me, come on!

SDK! SDK! SDK!....

I second that!!! I see alot of potential from the modders out there. At least they could let the community work out some of the problems..ala project messerwetzer from sh2!!!
Also just wondering what it would take to maybe model stations on a destroyer so that we could play from one?? Or if it is even possible

Indeed its a good patch.

It also seems to fix little things not mentioned in the readme. Example you cant use hydrophones on surface anymore and sonar has been removed from my early VIIB boat.

Thank dev team http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

No hydrophone??? So does this mean that the radar functions better?? Or are we just going by sightings and bdu contact updates??
