If your installing it on a DVD drive that may be the problem, because of copy write issues there seems to be a conflict ,try using just a plain old cd drive when installing.that should solve your problem...

the error says: cannot find cd-rom please insert the correct cd-rom and restart the application. when i click cancel because it wont find the cd-rom then it says: pf.exe error the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142) click ok to terminate the application. is it possible this is a pirated copy? i got it on ebay for 10 dollars....

I was having lock ups and crashes, seems Pacific Fighters has such a tight copy protection routine that the game won't install on or run on most CD-RW drives. I think this rts.dll eliminates some of that protection and the new dll is about half the size of the original. The new dll seems to have cured my crashes.

what if I've done all that and the game still won't work?

Go post in the Community Help Forum (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x?a=frm&s=400102&f=49310655), and add the exact error message, and maybe include a DxDiag Report (http://www.airwarfare.com/guides/luckyboys_guide.htm#012).

Good Luck!
