Sent to the patrol just outside the approach to the straights of Gibraltar from WH, I made my way down plotting a course thought the shipping lane running up from the South Atlantic.

Bang ! Convoy , 18 unarmed merchants with no escorts. 14 trops fired , 1 miss, 13 hits! of which 5 were duds.

Sank the following.
0600 CF 37 Ship sunk! M/V Howell Lykes (Large Cargo), 5657 tons

0625 CF 37 Ship sunk! M/V Sea Owl (Large Cargo), 5659 tons

0633 CF 37 Ship sunk! M/V St. Joseph (Large Cargo), 5658 tons

0932 CF 37 Ship sunk! M/V Antinous (II) (Medium Merchant), 5331 tons

For a total of 22,305ton.

I've just spent the night (that's my time started playing mission about 1am , its now 9:30am) following the other 14 ships at x8 speed can't get any higher comp-time that close.

The weather would do your nut in , choppy seas at start of attack, spent the rest of the time following through choppy seas to heavy seas, to heavey seas with thunder and lightening on to heavy seas with pouring rain and heavy fog.

That was it , at this point I was coming up level with the Milk Cow docked in the spanish harbour. I turned east and headed in for a refill.

Never a bit of calm to get 1 shot off!

I was supposed to patrol CG55, I was making my way back down after the refill and noticed on my mission chart the patrol location was gone.

Does that mean I've (failed) that part of the mission? Being docked next to the milk cow it said return port WH from where I started, even though the mission board is clean and the location (CG55)has been wiped off it and is blank. Do I still complete the mission by reaching and patrolling for 24hrs , or is that gone now!

Seeing as I docked with the Milk Cow, does that mean my 6th patrol has ended. If I sink more ships on the way back to WH, will they count on patrol 6 or be missing?

Docking with the Milk Cow ends your Patrol, and reassigns a NULL patrol grid for return to home port. Anything sunk on the return trip is separate from the 6 vessels you sunk outbound. You'll not have been given the Renown for reaching your Patrol Area, neither is there any Renown for the return trip (except for dicking at home port). On the plus side, you can now head to an area which you know from experience has rich pickings (would recommencd BF14/15, or the Bristol Channel), and pick up a few tons on the way back without expending fuel on a Patrol Area.
