Hello, I just got Pacific Fighters, and the manual says I need to click on 'Play on Ubi.com', but I only see the choices for Join Server and Create Server. Does anyone else have this problem, or might know what is wrong?

Thanks in advance!

if you only have pacific fighters then it might be tough to find a place to play, most everyone has il2 + forgotten battles + pacific fighters.

I suggest downloading HyperLobby which is far superior to ubi.com, all seeing eye also works very well.

Thanks, but I was wondering about how to connect to Ubi.com. I don't even have the option to join Ubi.com in the game. In the manual, it shows a screen shot of the multiplayer options. Most importantly, it shows a button to join Ubi.com, but I don't see that option. I downloaded all the patches, and there still isn't anything.

Yeah, ubi.com is a piece of software...the ubi hyperlobby, I suppose.

When you initially installed the game - it should have popped up and asked you 'do you want to install ubi.com gaming service?'. When it installs that, it also activates the 'Play on ubi.com' button in-game.

No fear, if the CD didn't install it you can download it from www.ubi.com (http://www.ubi.com) and install it. You'll need to register a nickname and password (actually I believe your forum nickname and password work).

But, as has been mentioned you'll be VERY hard pressed to find a game of Pacific Fighters on ubi.com. Very few people are playing there.

On the other hand, Hyperlobby is always full. And it has rooms both for the merged install of FB+AEP+PF as well as the standalone Pacific Fighters install.

Thanks alot for the help everyone. I will see if I can get that client. I downloaded and signed up for hyperloby yesterday, but I am still waiting for my activation email. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Went to a bunch of stores looking for IL2 and all the expansions, but no luck. Guess I will have to order them.

You dont need any activation email. The login for hyperlobby forums and the hyperlobby gaming program are two diferent things. What you need is DL the client, install it and run it. You setup the account directly in the client software, no need for any activation email.

Where can I download the ubi.com client?
Everything worked fine until I had had to re-insall PF, and now I can't find a download for the gameclient. Your link was just to the website, but I can't find a way to get the client there.

My bad...I'd assumed they'd actually allow it's download from their site. But it's not there.

Don't despair, I rummaged around on my Pacific Fighters CD, and there's definitely an ubi.com directory on there. Just run the executable and it should install fine. If it DOESN'T, the only solution will be to re-install Pacific Fighters and make sure you select the option to install the ubi.com gaming service when it pops up at the end of the install.

Zimbarbo, don't buy Il-2 Sturmovik (the old game), it has nothing to do with the series -except being its forerunner.

"Il-2:Forgotten Battles" (which is a stand alone game that includes the original Il-2 stuff plus much more)+ "Aces Expansion Pack" is all you need to have PF merging with it.

You can find both items in a pack called "Il-2:Forgotten Battles Gold", or something like that.
