So I just upgraded my computer (alienware) to Vista. I downloaded RB6 Vegas from Alienwares Digtial Download center.

Now the game gives me an error at Registration saying Failed: Unknown Error. then when I close that it says Disk now found? What disk? It's a digital download!

Anybody else have these issues? If so let me know what you did to fix it. I also sent in a trouble ticket with UBI but doubt I'll get much help.

3 things wrong I see right off the bat...

1.- You bought an alienware machine and paid high prices for not so good components.

2.- You updated to Vista... bad, bad boy.

3.- Not learning from 1 & 2, you went ahead and purchased R6 Vegas w/o looking at the forums first.

But honestly and I kidd of course... it may be a corrupted download, try to uninstall and reinstall again. Can you donwload the file again? if so, try to use a Download manager to avoid corruption from Windows downloader (it blows as big as UBI latest Tittle Games!). Do you have a virtual drive or Daemon Tools, alcohol 120% running in the background? this may affect it as well.

Good Luck.

Well first the PC was only 2500 for good parts, top of the line Asus motherboard, GTX2 Video card, Core 2 duo and water cooling. I actual priced it building it myself vs buying and buying cost me 100.00 more. It's a sexy computer, bit big though.

Vista isn't to bad it runs pretty good, 2GB of memory would be better though. I am an IT guy so I have to keep up with the latest so I am ready for it on the job.

I looked at that link (which I visted before) I disabled the firewall all togeather and it still didn't help. I keep getting an error about no cd found. I'll try redownloading it and seeing if that helps.

Cheers!

Snipe4Me forgot a fourth problem:

You bought a digital download. That technology is way too new to be any good. It will take them years to perfect. Even patches have to be coded differently for digital download versions of games. Running Vista with 1GB and trying to play any new games is suicide. You're asking for 0 FPS and crashes.

If you actually pay less for an Alienware than you do for individual parts, you don't know where to shop. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
