just wondering....

what have the new allied planes & the re-worked FW190 DM done for you online fliers? any noticable difference?

please refrain from making this thread a Blue vs. Red flamefest please http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

No difference to me.
Still three outcomes, occuring roughly equally in frequence:
1. I take off succesfully, gain height, get show down
2. I take off succesfully, gain height, do not get shot down, shoot an opponent down, get shot down.
3. I take off succesfully, gain height, do not get shot down, but shoot an opponent down, go in for landing, crash.

Oh, and once in a while there's the odd happening
- I take off & crash while doing that ..
- I take off & (anyone of all three above mentioned options) & do make a succesfull landing!

All in all... still heaps of fun!

(Oh, I know, I'm not the right one to answer yer question...) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I don't know what you may have been expecting. But little has changed in online play since any patch has come out. 4.02 only added two more aircraft. The FM is a bit different, so folks have to get used to that. And you usual ride may have changed to the point where you want to try and stick with something else. But many of us fly the planes we fly no matter what.

Plus, you have to look at the context of the flying. Arcade DF room, Cockpit on DF server, Online campaign, Coop? What you flew before you will still fly.

So I would say little to nothing has changed.

Oh, yeah. Some people missing. They spend hours offline testing settings and trying to control their ride

The FW seems to be weaker and starts to burn when you reach the airfield periemeter.
The control-cables are made of rubberband, and the D9 seems to climb not so fast.

Rudder certainly seems out of control on that picture too.

On a more serious note;
The guy (cowboy?) needs to fly on noticeable less sensitive input settings, I can tell, his ride is all over the place http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif.

sure. I'm not flying anymore. Not flying on line or off line. I have just ordered BoB2, and having fun with Civ 4. After 4 years my IL2 is on the shelf waiting for better days.

Switched to those **** games...lmao. Try out BoB2 and you´ll see there is none competition to IL-2 series.

Anyone who flew the original IL2 can fly 4.02.

I see little difference in my flying.

Some people just like to complain about realism when what they really want is their favorite planeset boosted...

Be sure.

well flying any Bf 109 is now a joke. And it is almoust a clonewagon and I hate it.

And I fly bf109 primarily.

Clonewagon? You mean when you fly, there will be exact copies of you in the air? I think those are called "wingman"

Or did you mean "Clown wagon". If you did, you are wrong.

The 109 has been toned down quite a bit. Manual prop has been corrected to historical speeds (and yes, I am upset I can't use manual prop pitch on a continual basis now)
Elevator compressability at speeds is frustrating. You can barely make a turn at speeds over 450kph... but you still black out. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I still suck, but no worse than usual. It's taking some time getting in the habit of actually using rudder instead of treating it as an emergency aim adjuster http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I guess it is a bit late that I suggest that IMO best thing is if you cancel your order. I have played BoB VoW for a few days in the last month than I stopped and never started it again. BoB2 icon is right next to PF+FB+AEP icon on my desktop but I always click on second one when I want to fly in the virtual sky. And with some recent issues (SeaFire gives good explanation), well...
Anyway you will still have fun with Civilization, one of the greatest games of all time.

I agree with Kuna, but I played for about a month..... Sorry to say but you just ordered a bug ridden drink coaster. I wanted to like it, I really did. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
