That was cool. Thanks Bearcat. I don't fly Axis usually (can never see out the ****ed canopies!)but that was a really interesting find.
Who knew the Iraqi's were being supported by the Luftwaffe back in the 1940s? Cool!

Nice find Bearcat. I've never seen that ordnance page before. Very interesting.

That is Ruy Horta's site. He posts here on the ubi forums. (as Ruy Horta of course).

While the website content hasn't been updated in some time the Luftwaffe Board is quite active and full of great information.

Thank you very much, Bearcat! I found it very interesting to read about the award system. I was one of those confused for the rumours, that Luftwaffe counted airkills according to the quantity of engines in enemy aircrafts. I.e. a shot down B-17 (with 4 engines) would count as 4 kills, a shot down Mosquito (2 engines) would count as two kills etc.

The system of points has seemengly been the source, the reason of the rumours. We, non-english people can´t always get the right idea of english text, but this document you had linked made it very clear. A kill is a kill no matter how many engines there were. As a totally different issue pilots were awarded according to the points they had earned in combat due to certain kind of tactical maneuvers etc... CLEVER, clever indeed I must say, and understandably very easily misred or misunderstood procedure.

Have fun,
Wallstein
