I will check the mission-logfile after it's been reported, and killing a man in his chute will be punished.

Trying all online wars is the only way to find the most suitable for you.

BTW, BaldieJr, since you don't know the case, why is this comment?

Heheheh funny how you Spit drivers hunt for LW even at the farthest blue base, but you stick to your own when flying anything else.

I sure as heck would appreciate it if they would post some "hosting" instructions on the site. There are only a couple of vague mentions in the rules on Hosting. But there are NO detailed instructions anywhere on the site.

I think more people would host if they could figure out how. This would possibly lead to less waiting in HL to play a mission.

I made this comment because I don't agree with made-up rules like no vulching and no chute shooting.

Maybe you think I'm not entitled to an opinion?

You mean VWF http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

It's squad based, but even one-man squads can participate ;-). It's more like that everyone should be registered http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

I'd like to better understand the significance of each mission. My experience so far:

I've noticed that everyone flies to the same place and a big furball breaks out and then you fly home if alive and land.

Is there really much more to it?

Oh, and when I flew my first mission last night:
1. allies took off around each other before waiting
2. some german guys kept saying he was going to report people for using their nav lights.
3. later I asked if I could use my nav lights to land and I was told if I did i would be penalized 10 points.

Course, I have no idea what the signifigance of the 10 points was, nor did I really understand what being reported was about?

(So, as far as I know, I could be banned for using proper landing techniques)

Oh, let's not forget #4:

4. refering to #2, there was this banter going back and forth with the German pilot calling someone stupid repeatedly during the mission (same guy who was 'reporting' people.

Or is that the part that rules? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Last night was the first time I was able to fly because the host 5 times in a row would ask me to leave to "make room for so and so". I thought maybe I forgot my country club dues! But I didn't see that anywhere on the website. Then , instead of me moving, they all hopped to another channel and quickly hit fly http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Not my favorite drink. Sometimes the wait is upwards of 20-30 minutes to start. Once it starts it is basically every man, women and child for themselves. Escorts leave bombers. Leads leave wingmen. Typing to communicate if you are not in the sqaud on your side. Unless you head straight into the obligatory furball there is very little if any action.

I do understand that this is someones favorite drink so I won't be mean, but this is nowhere near the fun of flying coops with some of the popular coops squads.

BTW that Forgotten skies link is broke. Please fix it because I want to check it out. VWF is no fun.

Sure mate http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Not all events fit to everyone.

We're just trying to do something useful for the IL2 community and some people enjoy it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

BTW, we should never forget that VWF is based on Starshoy's VEF code and for this we all thank him http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.
