It's hard to believe that we've been online for an entire year already, I guess time flies when you're having fun. The last year has been an exciting experience for us all at A&A with all that has happened. Watching the site grow from those first few members we invited to join us prior to the sites launch to what we have today has been a fascinating journey to be a part of. The story of the A&A site is one that spans several years of frustration, friendship and shear determination to accomplish our goals and I thoroughly believe that in the last 12 months we have most certainly reached those targets. We here at A&A would like to thank you all for supporting us over the last 12 months since we started the site and for your continued support hopefully for a long to come.

Site Updates

To celebrate the anniversary of the site there will be several changes which will affect your experience here at Axis and Allies Paintworks (http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/forum/index.php). Firstly, we would like to take the opportunity to welcome Mapal, Graf and HEERDT to the team here at A&A, these guys have supported the site and contributed to the community here since the start whether it be helping us by commenting on our WIP's or indeed seeking critique on their own works. Congratulations to our new team members.

Secondly, Over the last year we have received a lot of feedback from our members here, whether it be in passive conversation or through formal PM's. All of it, No matter how small, is appreciated and we will do our best to act on it to enhance your experience here. With that in mind, The downloads areas here will be changed and a newly organised site will be launched on the weekend of our birthday. The downloads section will no longer be organised by Artist although each member of our skinning team here will retain their own sections as Work in Progress areas so you can still follow what your favourite skinner is doing. Instead, Downloads of skins will be organised first by Simulator and then by aircraft sub type to make it easier for new users to browse the site. "Simulator you say?". Indeed we do, and that brings us on to the third point.

Axis and Allies paintworks will now also be moving to accomodate both the Rise Of Flight and the Microsoft Flight Simulator series as several of our members have expressed interest in these other platforms. Each simulator will have it's own section containing the downloads for the respective platform. As well as skins there may also be a few goodies that get thrown in by a few of our members for your enjoyment.

Is that all? Of course not! We're also going back to what we do best for our anniversary as each member has been preparing skin packs of aircraft, a sample of which can be seen below.
