Hi, remember a few months ago, in another thread, I mentioned a 109G2 extra fuselage I had and that I was making a "damaged" model with it? You asked me to post some pics but I totally forgot to do it.

Since that time I changed my goals and decided to make a "damaged and being repaired" model. I'm converting it into a 109F. Here are a few pics.

Of course it's far from finished and the paint is mostly for filler purposes. I still need to buy a proper paste for filling and smoothing but I have lots of work left before I can do this.

Must be the red X model....

I've got the dreaded red x. I would love to see those pics. Always nice to see what fellow model builders are working on. I have halted work on the 190 so I can concentrate on my Tamiya 1/16 Tiger. My neighbor has a Tamiya 1/16 Sherman so war is definitely brewing. I should get into the Trumpeter G-2 kit by late winter. I think I'll try out you're idea for the spare fuselage.

You can find lots of good ideas at LSP. Some of the cutaway models are amazing.

Hi Kenji,

The model is plastic. I use paint for filling in scratches and such. A lot of this model is scratch built and only the skin is from the model.

Gunze makes a product called Mr. Surfacer for filling in fine scratches over a large area where putty would not be suitable. It's almost mandatory if you are going to simulate a bare metal finish. She's looking good Pirschjaeger keep it going! I have a few photos of the Tiger 1 here. I plan on going all out on this one.

I have ordered just about everything from Backyard Armor.

I took the lazy way out on the commander and bought one already finished.
I just have to make his headset and wire them.

Yep it's the full option Tamiya 1/16 Kit. The turent can rotate 360 and the gun barrel elevates. Also has sound and flash from the gun barrel. My buddy payed an outrageous amount of money to have his Sherman built. I should be able to finish mine with almost every custom option for half of what he payed. It's not a difficult kit to build. It takes the cheap Futaba 4 channel surface radio.

Mount a 12 guage on the turret, then meet your buddy and see if he spent enough on armor plating. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Looks like fun. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

BTW, did you paint the tank commander?

lol 30/30 would be more scale looking. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I'll just run over him for now. I'm not good with figures so I went on e-Bay and picked this one up from a guy in the UK. I'm looking through the Tiger I on the Eastern Front book for paint schemes.
I can't wait to get this one finished.

Check out this R/C tank club.

Come on Pirschjaeger you have to get it done some time. Actually I'm usually busy with other things too but I can squeeze in a few hours here and there.

It's the G-6 Kenji. I also have a G-2 to build.
In fact I have too many kits and not enough time to build them all.

What are these 109s, kits?

Look big, are they Hasegawa's new 1/32 Gustavs?

Or something else?
