During the offline dynamic campaign if you ditch or bail out in enemy territory it's an automatic capture. Doesn't matter how close you are to freindly territory or enemy troops, vehicles, planes, bases, or towns, you're always captured. And the only option you have is to refly the mission.
There should be more options at the end of a mission not just a refly button if you're caputered or killed. Other options could be an apply button to record your MIA or KIA statis and any kills for that mission in the pilot log.
Then start a new pilot career. Another option could be Recruit button where you assume the role of a new replacement in the same squadron after the death or capture of your orginal pilot.
There should be greater variety in what happens to a pilot if he ditches or bails over enemy territory, in relation to the position of towns, troops and planes. He could evade captue, Get killed by enemy troops, Captured but killed in captivity, captured and then escaped, or captured and held till end of war, ect. Everything should be recorded in the pilot log and time should advance in the campaign while the pilot is missing or held until his return to active duty, if that happens.
I think something needs to be done with the options at the end of a campaign mission and not to have just a refly button. The real soldiers in World War II didn't have any replay buttons!

Well I agree with you when you say that your KIA/MIA status should be recognized by game as the end of the game, which could be achieved by pressing 'Apply' button. Currently you have to 'Refly' since there is no option to be killed or missing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

However, as far as bailing over enemy land is concerned, there is two possibilities in 'RELISTIC' settings:
1. If message "Mission Completed" appears before your plane is mortally damaged. If you can ditch your plane without crash, you *can* hit 'APPLY'.(If you bail tho, then I think you cannot hit 'APPLY')
2. If that message does not appears, you must 'REFLY' the mission (no matter if you ditch or whatever).
