Now after 3 and 1/2 years of flying I decided to test something new, and choose the yaks for real flying the first time, and as I got used to them, I wanted to know more about them, and why there are so many yak 9's in game, and while doing that I noticed something about the yak 9B... I always thought it'sa yak9 with different engine, cos the armament was the same, and so was the look...wrong, I discovered on a website that it was a bomber versio, and I had to take a look, and I couldn't belive my eyes...

a small bomber, with bombays for 4xFAB100 or 128 small bomblets http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif <-- I looked like this...
why didn't somebody tell me that we have something like this?? I just wondered how many people didn't know that...this bird was introduced in the 2.1 patch, and I discovered this yesterday http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

There is so much to experience in this game. Yet some already scream for BoB. I guess they need new parts to ignore.

Allright, I am beginning to doubt that's the map I thought it was.
Whew!
That makes it less disconcerting.

wait till u guys try out the t with its 37mm can opener, 1 hit kills any plane pretty much
and the 9k, with that little tiny 45mm http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

yaks = http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I prefer Lavochkin fighters over Yaks because of two reasons; they suit me better and they are better planes from my point of view.
The only Yak that I like is Yak-7. On the other hand 9T/9K/9M(equipped with NudelmanSuranov cannon)/9UT are neat and their big plus is that they basically have one-hit-kill weapon. But NS cannons are not easy to use.

I prefer the yak3, cos it's a beauty to fly, it's accurat in all things, it turns fast, and most important improf over the other yaks, it has an acceptable gunsight, I hate the other yaks gunsight, you see sh## trough them, and accurat aiming with deflection isn't the easiest thing with it, and even harder with that little ammo..., but I prefer the yaks later yaks over the LaGGs, only the first series of Laggs is better than the yak1...

I love the concept, but this plane's center of gravity has made it very hard for me to fly. It's a lot different then it used to be.

oh yes, no doubt the la series is better ingame. infact vs la7 there NOTHING a yak9u can do better http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

The only reason why I pick Yak9 over La sometimes is that Yaks have better alt performance. If I expect to fight above 3k, I'll chose Yak, if below, I choose La. But if La is dragged up high, you are toast.
