I have not purchased the game yet. But im curious about it. Is it possible to re arm & refuel. Either in single & multiplayer mode? Example; after a successfull landing... I dont see the point of not having this option enable. I yes, then this will intice me more. If not...Will it be address in the patches?

My first post was if FB allowed re~arm and re~fuel. Ah, the memories. Heard about FB through the Su~27 Flaker forum, lurked at the FB board a few days and signed up to ask my Question.

Re~fuel and re~arm would allow multiple sorties per "mission" file, although AI would need to be programmed for this also, to reflect combat losses or severely damaged AI aircraft. A "timeout" depending on aircraft type would be needed during the re~fit process. Hopefully a future flight sim like BoB and Beyond. Before those with large Gaps in their WW2 aviation knowledge post here, we shall examine what the Romanians knew about WW2 air warfare...

Rearming/refueling would be a good thing if missions could be made more dynamic by letting flights take off after certain conditions are fulfilled or by giving directions to units to make them change their behaviour depending on the situation.

That way we could play a day in the life of a pilot instead of just an hour.

Now that would be interesting. The Mission Builder itself would have to have some AI, and the mission re~generating here and there during the "mission" run. One idea is that the game can pause and generate new player and AI "missions" during the down time when player is re~fitting on the ground--you don't want this to happen while you have enemy in gunsight. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif This would be a higher level of AI programming beyond pilot AI.

As those with large Gaps in their WW2 knowledge have not posted here yet, we have an opportunity to reflect on the language we use. We have been taught by the flight sim Establishment that a "mission" is one run of the game. The Run button means one (1) mission. No so. With a Dynamic Mission Builder, you click Run and you can fly multiple missions in one game run. Of course this depends on the aircraft type and mission. For 8 hour P~51 escort game runs, you would only get one mission. For Hs~129 close support missions, you could get, historically speaking, up to 15-16 missions per game run--possibly more if game play is set in the long days of summer months. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif This must apply to AI aircraft as well, so its not something we will see over the FP or FB. Lexx, it sure would be cool to see a fuel truck pull up to refuel. And another with a bunch of little men jumping out with ammo and bombs to swarm all over your a/c to rearm. Also nice if they could do it in 10 to 15 minutes and not an hour like was said before.

Anyways, back on topic... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif German pilots intercepted inbound B~17s, landed for re~arm and re~fuel, and intercepted again as the B~17s turned for home.

An idea the <NAME CENSORED> poster gave me:: Should the Player and AI planes have to park at certain places on an airfield to receive re~fit? Sounds like a needed requirement.

They have it with LockOn, Tell ya the truth its a great feature, especialy for online gamming. so you can land on different bases, re arm, re fuel, also you can repair, then take off and go back in the fight http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

But you can rearm and refuel in about 30 seconds, and you just need to be on the ground IIRC, and it can be any runway, can't it? So you just land anywhere, stop 1/3rd of the runway length, refuel, rearm, take off, without missing a beat!

November has...say...10 hours of daylight, or 600 minutes, east of Romania.

Given 600 minutes, and assuming 20 minutes per mission, 15 missions is 300 minutes flying. That leaves 300 minutes to refit at least 14 times (assuming first mission was readied the nite before). So Romanians can refit their Hs~129 aircraft in 21 minutes.

This feature is already modelled.

If you drive your plane over to the fuel drums at an airfield, and sit there for a while, you will see your fuel tank filling up. It is slow, so you have to be patient.

Then if you need to be repaired, you drive next to the camoflauge netting. 3D men will appear and start wrapping yor plane with the netting, and this will heal you.

To reload your ammo, you have to find a box of shells. Most maps don't have shells, do you have to add them in the FMB. The shells are "object 217" and a box of rockets is "object 224".

You might also see the "haste" powerup. This is commonly mistaken as a hack.

Sorry, GT182 if I sounded harsh, but we thought you sounded like those with large Gaps in their WW2 aviation knowledge who always pop up and say it can't be done because there are no "trucks and little men running," and when they tire of that they make believe "arcade" like the poster below you.

Keep going jeroen-79 on this Dynamic Mission Generator thing, it could be the next revolution in flight simming.

Sounds good.

Remember long ago, when AI B~17 was releaced, and we asked for AA to stop shooting at parachutes and we asked for no parachutes--both for framerate reasons in large B~17 formations? Well we finally got it. Just tried the new FP "no chute" option on B~24 formation over flak...no fps hit from the hundreds of parachutes.

Some Microsoft sims did have refuling stations,
one had to reach the refueling area.
I dont recall rearming though.
I think that would be great in single player.
As it tests all of one's abilities,and would makegreat missions.

That would be great. Let's say you've got enemy aircraft attacking your base. Then you run outta ammo..... It would be nice to land, re-arm, then get back up there!
