Between February 19th and 25th 1944, some of the greatest aerial battles in the history of the world occurred over Germany as the US 8th Army Air Force laid down the gauntlet, and the Luftwaffe rose to the challenge.

On the 65th Anniversary of the battle, RAF74 is pleased to announce an invitation to IL-2 Squadrons and individuals to participate in a SCORCHED EARTH online COOP campaign which will recreate the battles of that time.

Space is limited, we have 3 Squadrons signed up so far, but Squadrons and pilots, in particular those who enjoy flying heavy bombers, and Luftwaffe fighters, would be welcome.

Start date will be Friday February 20th at 9pm US Eastern Standard time (GMT 2:00am), and the campaign will continue over the next 6 Fridays.

The Campaign will use 4.08m + Mods, but those who have an ordinary 4.08m installation can participate if they don't fly bombers or Me-210's.

For more information on the campaign, see this thread:

So far we are getting an excellent turnout, with 5 Squadrons signed up and a number of individuals.

We are still looking for more Blue side flyers who like flying Bomber intercepts and can fly in the US EST 9:00pm, GMT 2:00am time periods.

This is your chance to chase those 'Heavy Babies' in Sector Dora Dora and get some 4 engined kills... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Nearly 30 guys for the Reds, only 15 for Blue, we still have room for those guys who like to fly 109's, 190's, 110's and 210's.

Your plane is warmed up and waiting.
