Great pics. Thanks.

Wish I could go there..

B.t.w. has anyone noticed how the landing gear on a real P-51 differs from that in the game?

Yes...we told Oleg about it but nothing ever happened. Probably low priority and really not worth any significant comment - there are bigger fish to fry.

Great pics!

And YES, the Lanc is _the_ coolest-looking bird of them all http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Personally, I like the Wildcat.

Which brings to mind, does anyone have any information about Wildcats and Luftwaffe aircraft engagements?

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Indeed. Very low priority I realize.

It just struck me how good it actually looks on the real one seeing those pics.

The landing gear on the P-47 and P-51 has always fascinated me for some weird, inexplicable reason http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

I can assure you that my girlfriend's undercarriage is a LOT more fascinating than that of the P-51 or P-47.......... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Did the P-39 fly? When I was there in May it was in maintenance.

The Lancaster performed the display yesterday with a bomb bay full of poppies which will be dropped over London today.

sorry im just replyin, i went to bed lol, yeah the carriage on them birds is beautiful, not explainable. And yes they all flew including the lanc and P39, it was amazing at the end with the massive formation, including 2 B17s and 2 B25s and all the spits and stangs. The weather was beautiful after about 2 so that wasnt a worry, in the morning i was freezing though, goes to show how god likes airshows lol, glad you all liked em, ill post a few more another time when you all least expect it!

No 109 or 190 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

But great pics anyway. I'm curious how the gear of the P-51 differs in the game. Can someone post a screenshot so we can compare? (I'm at work and can't look for myself.)

man work on a sunday thats harsh, im not sure how they differ either, havnt really payed attention to it as it seemed to obvious a mistake for oleg and co to make, i dont think there are 190s airworthy in europe, maybe 109s but they were not present. Man, what i would do to see a 190 fly, http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I am a pro photographer who has thousands of air show pics, and im telling you that your pics are great...really well done. the cloudcover made for diffused lighting, which is the best for planes on the ground, if not in the air. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

remember, for prop planes in the air, i recomend 1/250th shutter speed, and for jets, always use at least 1/500. pick the shutter speed manually and it will automatically do the rest.try to keep the sun behind you, which is easier said than done. im gonnna dnload as many of these as i can on this lousy dail up. thanks for sharing these. a friend of mine sent me a tape he did at duxford yrs ago, as he spent sevral weeks just going to airshows on wkends...said Britain is the best place for airshows.

wow thanks mate, im flattered, after my experience i hope to get into serious photography at airshows but not lookin at pro yet, i just enjoyed takin the pics so maybe a new hobby on the horizon, i want to do some good filming too next year, how much would a decent camera to sdtart with cost do u think? do u recommend any for a starter? thanks again for what ya said. Britain is great for airshows, just wish i could get to more, im just too young at the mo.
