One of my recent missions with an explosive ending

I/JG27 during the Battle of France

The mission was to take 8 Bf-190E's to destroy a group of French transport planes. We were intercepted on the way by 8 P-36's, sent 2nd schwarm to tangle with them while the lead planes proceeded on to find the transports. By the time the target planes were located they were in the landing pattern; 6 big, slow, sitting ducks. Shot down 2 right away before exhausting cannon ammunition. The rest would have to be dealt with using the peashooters in the nose.

Going for the engines

Dang, he touched down. But another pass lit the engine up

Pilot and copilot bailed (they're lying on the runway), but they didn't shut down the motors or set the brake. That plane's still rolling!!

Uh Oh, this isn't going to end good....

Hit by a runaway plane and the AAA crew is still firing, what dedication!!!

Fortunately a building is there to stop it

If that transport crew survived, I'll bet they wish they hadn't when the poo hits the fan over this one

Blame the architect who put a block of flats next to the runway. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/crackwhip.gif

Yeah, something isn't quite right with the campaign dates. The date of this mission was listed in January, hence the snow. I can't remember where this campaign came from.

That's because the architect hadn't fully divined the attitude of the owners towards the tenants.
For instance, the rotating knives....
