I'm surprised the 911 overtook the bike. I'd think a high-end sport bike would demolish the 911 in a straight line top speed test - but 4 wheels win in the corners.

That's what I thought. I reckon that bike is geared waay low, to look extra good.

Good chance he rolled off considering he had fear of jet wash coming his way. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

The biggest picture is about 214 KB. The rest are smaller.

-p.s.- the bike was having problem with the clutch, so that was reason why the Porshe overtake him.

Little correction - the plane is Serbian (former Yugoslavian) J-22 Orao (Eagle).
The race took place in Serbian Military airport Batajnica (where I spend 9 months like soldier - 10 years ago).
The plane is transsonic jet fighter (actualy - he have role of attack fighter).
First flight was in 1974. They are built in cooperation with Romania (they designation IAR-93). More than 400 of these planes are build on both sides (officialy).
Today - they are almost retired from service.

Its an easy mistake to make, they look almost identical, even the main gear looks the same.

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty uninformed about the world's jets.

I was mostly poking fun about a race on an aircraft carrier. "Splash two!"

You are wright!
The main gear IS IDENTICAL!!! The designers buy it for licence building from the the original manufacturer (actualy, it wasn't the best solution - several planes are lost in accidents because main landing gear would't always open).
The seats was Martin Baker, the engines Rolls&Royce Viper...
Basicaly - it was been cheap for production because he was made from proven parts! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
He was only a solution for short terms (that was idea, at least), because Yugoslavia didn't got Northrop F-5 from USA. All built models stay on the prototype level (except some little corections) because there was no money for upgrade.
