Someone tell Oleg, so he knows when to finish it.

I heard 2008 was to be delayed in order to let the Chinese be fully prepared for the Olympics and 2007 will be repeated. In that case, the date is probably accurate,.......give or take 2 weeks. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Hi Biggles

Why do you consider this advertisement on a website not affiliated with the publisher of the game or it's developer to be a reliable source for a release date?

The publisher said Nov 2006 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif I think Oleg got it right when he said, when its ready.

There's good reasoning in it - 3rd parties generally only offer for by for a specific data if they can fullfill the CONTRACT.
They had to give accurate information for their own good - imagine their troubles if you order it for June, and they can`t deliver but only two years later...

Crossing fingers here...

Sorry but that's **** Kurfurst!

Example - Stalker - shadow of chernobyl - listed on Play.com about 5 years ago, i preordered it as it was due for release 3 months from the date i ordered - its now 2007 and its only just comming out on 23rd march 2007!

There are other examples, half life 2 episodes anyone...
Game, play and all the other websites get the information up as soon as possible, but they don't keep it updated, stalker was listed as a sept release well into feb the year after! Once the game is up there it means they will be selling it once / if its released as they are national suppliers- theres no contract in it to be fulfilled. On preorders they don't specify you will have it at that time - just that they "usually dispatch the day before release so you should generally be receiving the item the day of release i nthe post - however they cannot gaurantee any release dates"

IT's out! I've got it!

Dunno Valentine, I am sure there are extreme cases and I dont know this particular website too much. The ones I looked up on Amazon were generally fitting on time. However you can't make rule out of exceptions.

It depends on the type of contract you sign - not keeping the promise is bad business strategy on the long term anyway. So, I naively hope for June 2007 for BoB, as it was delayed of the original schedule already of Nov 2006 IIRC, no need to delay it again and again.

Im going to guess it will hit June then be pushed back "2 weeks" and then again - probably till sept - nov time.

Il be pleasantly suprised if it is June but im not getting my hopes up anymore!

Wow, hi Buzz

You know what I'm talking about though- a release date posted at play.com doesn't mean that this is the date SOW:BOB will be released

never trust in a retailers do date. i preorderd zelda TP for the gamecube like 2 years ago. at that time it was to be out in 6 months. later ninty pulled it back and released it on the Wii. of course by then i had lost interist .... and my recipt http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

availability: Due for release on 01/06/2007

Isn't that date January 6th 2007? If so its a little late don't you think? Someone might want to tell Oleg that BoB is already released.

No!!!! - for once its NOT a site based upon the (in my opinion) backwards and idiotic american time and date system!
01/06/2007 means exactly as its read 1st of June 2007

If you were an accountant or in anything that requires record keeping you'd appreciate the American system. It's faster and more efficient.

Personally I prefer the day/month/year system but if I were an accountant I'd use month/day/year.

BTW, I think I see a pattern.

Avertise a game release date, very early of course, and many will pre-order. Many of those who ordered will lose their reciepts.

I see profit.

Capitalism at its finest. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
