So I was watching the History Channel yesterday about the lost book of Nostradamus.
http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif
One of the things it said was that Nostradamus used 13 Astrological signs instead of 12 to predict stuff. The 13th being Ophiuchus also known as Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder. (http://www.love-astrology.com/13th-sign-of-the-zodiac/13th-sign-of-the-zodiac/)who sits between the Scorpion and the Archer.

Nostradamus got this sign from the church in the city he lived, where the serpent holder was engraved into the wall together with the other 12 signs.

After some "research" and some random people talking about things that had absolutely nothing do to with the issue the narrator came up with the idea that the church was built by Templar's. The same ones that found a hidden treasure in Jerusalem.

The entire thing became so ridiculous that I switched the channel. After an half hour I switched back and the narrator now claimed that Nostradamus had connection with Knight Templar's and that they made the predictions and something about the Pope causing so much disturbance that it would lead to an final battle between Christians and Muslims which would cause the end of the world. And linking Napoleon, Hitler and Bin Laden to the 3 Anti-Christ's. At this point I was like lolwut?

The thing continued linking some paintings in the book to the Mayan calender and the notorious 2012 date. At which point I turned the TV off.

I searched the internet for a bit and found that (not so surprising) that most of the things said are just made up. But the thing that is true is that Nostradamus did use a 13th sign. The church was built by Templars and the Vactican for some reason seized the book and kept it in the Vactican Library.

Yes I know that it's probably something the History channel made up to fill time with. BUT... wouldn't it make a great story for AC?
Plus we can get a pretty good story rolling with so many historians here.

EDIT: I found it on YouTube(Except the one on TV was a lot longer):

I think that would be a fairly good story, but i'm kinda fed up heariing about 2012 i mean i don't hate the fact AC is already set there in Desmonds time(it's pretty kl in fact) but the whole 2012 thing imo is ridiculus.
But yes that would be a good story for it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That would make a good story. But Nostradamus wasn't born until 1503. That would put it just too far ahead for AC2 and probably too close for AC3.

I'm curious if he used a 13th sign why was it later removed? did they make any claim to know why it later changed to 12?

The site I linked to says: <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">It was never added to the Zodiac chart as astrologers said that the Sun went straight from Scorpius into Sagittarius, disregarding the fact that the sun travelled through Ophiuchus for 19 days before entering Sagittarius. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Thanks KZarr, very interesting. Does make you wonder what difference it wouldve made if it had never been excluded http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Horoscope would have made a lot more sense then.
