Here is are two clips of two of our favorite enemies plane. For a while they where the championa of the World skies. For a brief period in history they controlled the skies of Europe and the Pacific plus that of Asia. As the war went on they became obsolete but until the End of the war in the hands of a experience pilots they still dangerous. Now enjoy their sound and beuty in flight. They are still a beautiful sight to see.

Yeah, thanks for sharing. Two amazing videos. The 109 sounds great, love the little whistle it makes too. The only ones I've seen before had British engines, which causes the under-belly to be a little bigger [on the E version anyway]. That G looked and sounded great.

the plane looks to be A6M5-52 c/n 5357 (Nakajima-built) code 61-120, ex-Saipan. Planes of Fame Museum, Chino, CA, USA - flying with Sakae motor as NX46770 .?look at http://mitsubishi_zero.tripod.com/preserved.htm

The thing that blows me away with these is the sound.

It is just unparalleled, no sim (no offense Oleg), has EVER come close to getting these right.

I have seen the DB605 fitted 109G-4 and G-6 in 2 airshows now and believe me it sounds better than any Merlin or P&W R-2800. The DB605 is just a really sound experience only matched by the R&R Griffon. If U ever get the chance to hear that real Daimler-Benz take it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

sidenote, plastic modellers surely knows the 1/32 Tamiya A6M5. Tamiya took their recorded sound files from the Planes of Fame A6M5.

Here's one more candy. That's Red 7 at Oppenheim last year. Sadly that a/c crash landed last year but let the pilot unhurt.

That file is from private collection and owned by a squadmate of me who also met me there at Oppenheim/Germany.

go to "free" and wait til the countdown give the code you have to type in.
