The aircraft previously known as "I-153" shall hereafter be called "Swiffer".

If you want to mop the deck of dirt, you need Swiffer.

Unless they have added 200-300km/h to it's top speed, I'm assuming that as long as I do not turn with it, I shall be able to B and Z it to death, as in the past. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Also, please give us a little detail on what has changed with the I-153, Baldie.

- Roll rate?

- Turn rate?

- E Retention?

- Damage Model?

- Speed?

Inquiring minds want to know. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Its the perfect fighter plane. Try it, you'll like it. It has no bad habits that I can find. Its very well balanced and brilliantly nimble.

I used it to outstanding success against the AI.

I'm a horrible pilot, as is well known.

Thanks for the reply, but just like in the past, as long as one does not engage in a turn fight with the little bugger, except while in an I-153, B and Zing them hasn't changed, right?

Whathehexx... it already _WAS_ the perfect fighter plane!!! So you're not implying that they've.. they've... *GASP* they've over-├╝bered it now???

But hey - at this rate I _WILL_ get that P-11c doing mach 1.5 someday http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

No man. Run from it.

Seriously. You better be able to hit the pilots melon, or be carrying nuke-tipped rockets.

Its flying is improved and it feels good in hand, but the damage model is its secret weapon.

Ah, the DM.....that's what I was afraid of. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Dang, why is it whenever we get a new patch to fix things, they break something that was already working? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I would never judge any plane on its sexual orientation but I can't say I like biplanes in a WW2 sim, even though historically they were there.

BnZ is the only safe way to deal with them.

Might I then declare the pilot flying against (and being terriffied) such a fearsome beast as the Swiffer be titled "wet-jet?"

Hmmm, nice screenie Badsight. It looks like one of those "invisible" planes you get from mis-applying patches, that can't be shot down.

How the heck did the I-153 DM get so pooched, yet again?!?! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Actually, it used to be the I-16's DM that was porked, not the I-153. Still, even when the I-16 was invincible, if you shot it from on top, on bottom, or even direct 3 or 9, it would fall apart. It was only direct 6 that it was invincible.

I think that this "Swiffer" also has old style muzzle flashes. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

They had tough DM yes. I managed to trim the upper wing of on I153 with BF-109F2, and I went like "whoow!!!". Really not so common sight for me, but then again I don't fly mucho against these little sea gulls. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The I-153, I-16 and P-11 have all gone through some strange DM periods in time. Mostly from dead six, as has been mentioned. Although, I haven't flown one in awhile, I do know that the I-153 DM was at least brought into a "reality zone" prior to this patch release.

No wonder y'all think this bird is so hard to kill.
No matter where you shoot it, theres nothing to hit.
its a flying hole.

According to this picture the pilot is actually surrounded by unprotected fuel tanks, no:s 9-10-13-14-16!! Firing from low six should make it a flare!
As it did in early IL-2 days.
