but what about fps with vsync on [for track ir]
setting fps to half the refresh rate?
current crt 75hz ,fb maxed out, i average
30-35fps,how would this change with the lcd tft?

Well I don't use vsync, simply because of the framerate dumping that goes on. I've learned to live happily with the tearing. On my LCD, I run the native 1280x1024 @ 60Hz and it's fine for me.

If you are very bothered about tearing and really want vsync, then you'll have to run at the LCD's maximum refresh (the LCD you posted can run at 75Hz it would seem) and I'd guess you'll get the same results as on a CRT.

Maybe someone who has tried this can tell us if it works.

I can only tell you what I have found but I'm sure someone will try & tell me different, but all I can say is the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

I have had no difference in fps & I run vsync on & use Tir at 75hz.I ran black death track on perfect settings water 3 forest 3 & still had the same fps as my crt.
