Took a trip to the Tillamook Air Museum couple days ago. Its well worth the trip for those of you that live in the Northwest.

I was using a camera I wasn't used to so some of the photos aren't in focus as well as I'd like.

Excellent Picture's diomedes33! They have a few very rare Bird's in their collection. The Martin Mauler for one... Navy cancelled most of the order and went with the Skyraider instead.
Thank's for sharing.

Great pics! Good use of the photo album feature, as well. Saves time by eliminating the middle man!

Thanks, diomedes33

Heh, I didn't even know this place existed, so thanks!

Just recently been to the one in McMinnville, OR that has the Spruce Goose, and a bunch of others, including some that Tilamook has.

Still, might have to venture on over there one day and check it out.

The wife doesn't care much for the air museum. I drop her and the daughter off at the cheese factory complex to potter about for a couple of hours. Then I head over to the museum with the boys.

Did they ever find a prop hub for the Me-109?

Wow! I forgot that just before I built my new rig I went there and took a bunch of pics. Those pics reside on my old computer, now my wifes. I'll try and post them ASAP.

For those who don't know, this muesum is inside of one of the only (if not the only) WW II blimp hanger. At one time there were two hangers there but one burned down when they were occupied by Louisiana Pacific and used as a lumber factory. At that time the heat caused my the machinery and the damp coastal air caused it to rain inside the hangers daily, they are that big.

i wonder if thats the same dauntless wildcat and corsair that use to be on the USS intrepid.

I remember seeing them there as a kid over 17 yrs ago, I recently visited a few months ago and all they had was an avenger hellcat "best one i seen" and a fake plastic/fiberglass helldiver. Everything else was korean / vietnam /late war jets. I specifically went to see the wwii props jets dont interest me much at all
