What's the difference between 1 and 2?

Silmar

2 is the CTRL+P Option to turn off particles, 1 is a complete fix

I was actually just about to make one of these.

This issue demands an immediate emergency patch.

Sorry, what is it meant by particles? Turning them off?

Particles as in sea spray, smoke, spray from torpedo line, explosions. Ubi is working on a solution to turning these off with CTRL+P when using scopes. Do you want them to implement this? Or do you want them to completely fix the issue so we can see these particles?

No explosions, sea spray, wakes, splashes, etc.

All of these are particles.

One thing I would really like is encounters with British subs - that sends a chill through me!

you are missing an option.

Graphics fix is obviously needed. I would still appreciate harbours being populated though, it adds more immersion to the game.

I have an ati 9500pro so i won't have any problems with graphics.
But since we all pay the same for this product i believe we all should have a game running properly on our systems http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

So the only fair option for me was to vote#1

I think the dev team should first correct anything wrong that IS already ingame before
trying to add something new. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

The first patch should only fix the gamebreaking bugs, like the UZO spray bug (or whatever it is that is causing all the trouble) and the missing XXI Active Sonar switch. Once everyone can play the game, then the devs can add more content.

I've been trolling the forums for about 2-3 weeks now and hadn't responded to any posts until today but for the love of all humanity enough with the Starforce comments. They're not going to remove it so suck it up and move on.

Well then ... we're just going to have to rely on the warez-community to provide that no-cd patch then.

Might as well download the game instead.

apparently
i for one can't play the game because of it.. it just doesn't detect the cd
hope they crack it soon now

Let me make myself clear: I sometimes download warez cracked games but if I like them I ALWAYS BUY them so I can get patches easily and I collect PC games. Just the no-cd fix is enough for me to appreciate the warez community. Patch this, patch that I say BS! Get it right the first time...just ask Ubirazz about all the crazinees that had/has been going on in the Recon2 console forums. (don't worry Ubirazz, I won't start going off about SH3)

Option one, for sure. The rest is bells and whistles, really - and this is a rather nasty graphics problem that shows up on the best-selling brand of cards at the moment! A band-aid fix only would be a travesty (but I'll praise the Dev team if they just get a temp hotfix for Ctrl+P out RIGHT AWAY).
