Devestators,Daughntles, Helldiver, Vals, Kates to name a few.
Very critical if their's gonna be a Midway re-enactment.

There's been a few post on the different dive bombers. And the Press Release (http://www.il2sturmovik.com/PF_pr_310304.htm) mentions the SDB Dauntless and Aichi Val.

Kate is a torpedo bomber. Also the Judy dive bomber should be added it was the fastest carrier dive bomber of the war (about 50mph faster than America's fastest carrier dive bomber), and made many notable victories despite usually being outnumbered, unarmored and no self sealing fuel tanks (because it would lose range if they did), the Americans catching them on radar, and the fact that their escort Zeros were usually outnumbered.

For instance Judy dive bombers managed to knock the USS Franklin out of the war as it was off of Kyushu with the rest of its task force.

Don`t worry, I`m sure they will be there, if not will be like Germany without Stukas, Russia without Il-2, Mickey without Pluto..

Personally I would luv to get my hands on a Vultee Vengeance. With zero wing incidence it could dive at 90 degrees - and be rock solid. A higher dive angle than any other dive bomber in WWII. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The RAAF in New Guinea swore by them.

I'm not quite sure how anyone could think the Val hasn't been mentioned.

If you scroll to the top of this page (and every other) you'll see the Val on the left side with the white paint scheme and the rather imposing radial engine http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Not to worry...we've seen the Val and Avenger in development and I doubt we'll be missing the Dauntless, Helldiver, or others when were done.

The official release said there would be a lot of concentration on bombers. The Pacific Theater being what it is, that probably means mostly dive/torpedo bombers.
