For those of you in the U.S. there's a show on PBS this month about a P-51C being rebuilt in the colors of the Tuskegee Airmen. This may have been broadcast before. Check your local listings.

That is the C that Don Hines was killed in a few years ago.... They are trying to re restore it...

It was a pretty decent show. A mixture of history on both the Tuskegee Airmen and the (then) restored P-51 done in their group's colors. Several members of the Red Tails were interviewed, most of them were pilots I hadn't seen in previous documentaries.

The Mustang is now in the process of being restored. The fuselage looks like it's maybe 75-80% rebuilt. Lots of work ahead obviously. The restorers look like a dedicated group and plan on keeping the Mustang in the same colors it had before it's crash.
