They went to Norway on a carrier.

Yes they did. Don't believe me? Ask the crew of the Bismarck http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The crew of the Bismark may or may not have ever seen a Gladiator but many of the crew saw the Ferry Swordfish type that launched torpedo runs against the ship.

BTW, anyone making a Swordfish? Wouldn't that be a treat!

Ever heard of Faith, Hope and Charity??? That was the names given to three Sea Glads which were stationed on Malta after their carrier (the Illustrious??) was too badly damaged to be used. They stayed there until their demise.

Also, they flew extensively in the Norway campaign from carriers, and what do you think escorted in the Fairey Swordfishes when they attacked the Italian fleet at Taranto?? That's right, Sea Gladiators!!

As far as I am aware, all that would be needed is for the current Glads to be given british instruments, and a tail hook, and then we'd have the Sea Gladiator.

Hey Orheim, what d'ye reckon?? Can it be done??
