I wish I could land and re-load ammo or fuel. I remember for example one Flight Sim(which will go nameless- MS FS)I could land in a cessna and taxi over to a gas pump and get fuel. I wish(whaa) that I could do the same in IL2 for ammo or fuel. And maybe if I had some aircraft damage I could still say f--k it, get gas or ammo and go back up if the situation allowed. Sounds pretty complicated for this game tho for all the types of ammo and fuel etc, but it would be a good patch maybe someday say in in the year 2016.

Well if you have 20-30 minutes time to get refueled and rearmed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

LOMAC has it and others did as well. It is a simple design choice not to incude that feature. Not a game breaker, BUT absolutely ridiculous not to incude the feature(even if selectable)in this game. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

It's a good point. There were countless situations during the war where pilots had to fly missions back to back. Once they landed after a sortie they had only enough time to refuel and rearm, and they were immediately back in the air again. This cycle was often repeated several times a day.

As an immersion factor, it would be cool, though the idle time sitting on the tarmac waiting for the ground crew to finish their task would be quite anxious. To be able to keep the same aircraft for an indefinite period of time would likely encourage previously reluctant pilots to nurse a broken bird home and attempt a landing...which would be cool.

Never thought about this but the idea of "catching" aircraft on the ground whilst re-fuelling/re-arming certainley would add to tactical decision making online.

Imagine pacific maps with carriers doing this, Midway anyone http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I was playing Lomac online this one time.. I was in an F-15..it was night time and I landed at a neutral base.. I was near the parking area refueling.. just sitting there waiting for the gas to pump.. of course I hear this jet engine off in the distance... boom boom boom.. I got shot up by some Mig29... grr.. but I expected it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif Was kind of fun trying to get fuel intime and get out of there...

With that said.. I believe it should be added as an option one day. It adds to the excitment.. atleast make it that way in Co-ops or something when you can't respawn.

It would be cool if the ground crew could do that, but what I remember about MS Flight Sim doing it for the cessna was when you taxied up close enough to the gas pump it would just 'bloop' instantly and you would have a replenished fuel tank and could take off again. Sounds kinda toy like, but anyway, I wouldnt mind having it available. BTW, and a little OT, I just took out a couple of Japanese bombers attacking my carrier but I was hit and had to do a hard dead stick landing, then I watched helplessly as two A6Ms came in and took out a PBY. It was mission over.
