Wow great link Fpsolkor, those are the type of pics i love to see when it comes it WW2(well besides the aircraft anyway http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif),the real stuff, the way troops lived everyday and the daily grind that they went through before they even got near a battle.

It certainly give you a much more "real" insight into their lives instead of the "normal" type of WW2 pics you see.

Thanks for the post http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I always used to think that in the sim the pilot models were way too big in relation to the aircraft, but that picture is pretty much exactly like it is in the sim.

Those were absofrigginlutely great pics. Several got to me because if they weren't staged they're absolutely amazing. The photo of the Russian soldiers taking on two Pansers with nothing but small arms. That picture can't be right, those guys woulda been wiped out mere seconds after that photo was taken!!! How'd the photographer live to get that photo back?

Thanks again...

The second picture was interesting to note that the German soldier appears to be wearing 2 pistols, as well as his service rifle.
This was not usual for regular troops as they were not officially issued side arms. If perhaps as the picture might indicate he is a tanker, a couple of "acquired" pistols might be a good idea. It being an easier weapon to deploy, for instance while coming out of a hatch.
Yes Im feeling it too Worf. What are the real stories behind some of the pictures we see from earlier times. That was another one that really made me wonder. There dosent appear to be any shooting going on, and people are standing on both sides. Are they about to be wiped out? Are they merely negotiating a surrender? Or do the russians actually have the drop on the panzers with forces and equipment that are out of frame, negotiating their surrender? Or none of the above.

FPSOLKOR Thanks for posting

This one has been on here before. It's great isn't it? The bombardier smoking a tab like it's going out of fashion and the co-pilot who looks like he's just bet one out...that's a bomber full of people, not just faces. It's got to be one of my favourite images.
