How did you know it was raining in Northern England? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

In Southern Maryland, it is always beautiful, low 70's, no humidity to speak of followed by hot, sticky, miserable followed by torrential downpours and then it starts all over again.

With my tendency to crash in lovely huge fireballs when I'm wind-blotto, it's best to confine me to virtual flying. My record in IL-2 46 has been pretty dismal lately. The AI starts laughing so hard when they see me some of them collide and wipe out. Most of the time I don't get airborne. Shift over to peaceful FSX, and, of course, I've gotta choose something hot and masochistic like a 109K. End up tearassing off the dirt strip at Achmer and blow up smacking into an oak or something. Try BOBII and my vision is so allergy blotto I can't see the damned huns and my Spit gets shot to blazes.

So, back to reading books. Least my gaming reduced IQ is slowly crawling up again. Sigh.

Blimp is more like it! Perhaps filling it with hydrogen for some excitement?

Better yet, you could fill it with hydrogen, tape a box to the bottom, stick some Army Men inside, and have big WWI aerial fights.

Yeah, that's the stuff I think about when there's nothing to do on rainy days. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

OMFG!!!!! Jutland1111ONELEVEN!!!!!!NEVELENO1111

I once very carefully plotted the movements of the two battle fleets and the battle cruiser squadron with the QEs using the mission builder. The wasn't even a slide show. I think maybe a quad core might handle it.

This is shaping up to be a vintage year for games, I'm telling you. Jutland! Blow me over with a feather! The slug fest of slug fests! I may disappear from sight with all this stuff coming down the pike!

I have the 1905 item. The only thing it lacks is the ability to plant yourself on the compass platform of the flagship, see with binocs from there, and give orders from there---which I would like to do occasionally because controlling with only the historical info avail is a b---h! If you can win with limited intelligence, you are s--t hot!

Jutland from the few screens posted on the web site,.. looks like it going to be a game worth watching.
You already have Distant Guns? How is the game play overall? And I see a demo CD listed at the site... but I can't find the full game cd listed as an option. Is it a downloaded only game?

Gameplay is great. My only gripe is that you know too much for a 1905 fleet or squadron commander, and can really cause too much damage to the other side, but, it is fun. You can zoom in close to the battleships and you hear the pounding of the reciprocating steam engines and thats a nice touch. The aiming and shooting part is very good. They did their homework through and through. Night fighting looks like night fighting. I won't quibble. Let's put it this way, I'm getting the Jutland item without hesitation.

Here are the purchase options WD:
