ok i admit it...i'm new to online flying, but NOT to flightsims. My question to you is what do i need to download to be able to access online play through the dedicated servers (which i assume is where most of the action will me). I have played online on UBI.com and really enjoyed myself...going down in flames LOL. Any help you can give me would be great...Thanks guys http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Just need to have your IL2 install up to their level.
Most will be the using the merged install server: i.e. 3.02bm
So that is where you want your game to be.

You only need to have your game/version up to 3.02bm for the 3.02bm dedicated servers and 3.02b for the non-merged dedicated servers

Therefore, to be able to play on the 3.02bm dedicated servers you'll need FB+AEP+PF+3.01m patch+3.02bm patch

For the PF standalone, you'll need PF+3.01 patch+3.02b patch

You do NOT need to DL the dedicated server to play online.

In short: no, dedicated server is only needed for host.

Most of us use Hyperlobby. It can be found
here Hyperlobby (http://hyperfighter.jinak.cz/)

Welcome to your new addiction http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The game itseld does not have any ingame browser. You therefore have to use ubi.com or a 3rd party browser such as Hyperlobby ,All Seeing Eye or Gamespy.

The ingame multiplayer is for lans and direct ip to ip games.
