Here's a NACA roll chart for the F6F-3 with standard ailerons and spring-tab ailerons. The F6F-5 incorporated the spring-tab ailerons so that roll line should be generally applicable to the F6F-5.

I think it's important to point out that this chart represents roll rates with a 30lb stick force. 50lbs of force will achieve higher roll rates at higher speeds. Roll rates at lower speeds and full stick deflection will be unaffected.

I post this in hopes of avoiding glaring inconsistencies in roll rates like there is with the P-47 in FB.

I don't think the chart will do much but it makes me feel good. There should be no excuse.

The Hellcat was one of my faves in CFS2. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

In AEP, the roll rate king still seems to be the Fw190 in all it's variants. How would this chart look side by side with the 190?

70 degrees per second max for the -3 doesn't seem like much, I tell you that http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Even without comparison to the 190.

Right. We can't spare even a single degree per second. So please, no flubbing it up like the P-47, huh?
