Personally I fly a smorgasboard of different aircraft, I have no loyalty to country or air force.

Well I love the Spitfire and if national symbols are it...the Spitfire is likely the RCAF's most widely used wartime fighter aircraft so it works for me.

That said, I fly everything. I really like FW190s and Spitfires and then I expand outwards from there to include pretty much every major and some minor types.

I fly red but I like american aircraft.

So mostly any of the lend/lease with my fav being the P39 series. I'm usually the only one on warclouds flying an N-1. It's a challenge to be sure but a kill makes me feel like I earned it.

That said, as my squad is currently flying VOW2 Eastern Front on the side of right,it's mostly fly whatever patheticly under powered and under gunned POS thatI'm given in the mission.

Interesting question. Although I was born and raised in Canada, I am German. Now my home is in Germany.

I normally fly for the LW and a major part of that decision is based on the a/c. I love the 109 and 190.

When I do fly allied I fly as a Canadian and typically choose the RAF. Then it's the Hurri over any RAF a/c. I rarely fly American since I dislike most of their a/c with acception to the P-47 and A20. I love the old Buicks and Cadillacs.

I believe to get the most from this sim one should choose two a/c from either side and stick to them. So, for me and in order of preference, it's 109, 190, Hurri, and the P47.

As for Russian a/c, well, they are good but I don't really like them. The IL-2 is pretty cool though.

I'd say it's 75/25 for me.

I fly Japanese because the markings are easier to draw then a star or numerous circles....Crosses I accidentally always make "X's" feeling the martyr, and never can draw that giant jumping rat on the Australian ones......

When I was flying from 4.01 back, I usually enjoyed American, mostly the Corsair, then TBolt and Lightning. The Mustang was ok but I don't believe its close to the plane described in real pilot accounts.

The Spits and Hurris have been second choice, the Hurri especially.

I've never enjoyed the German fighters tho they have good fire power. I've always admired members who fly them well but I couldn't handle the high roll rate and was never relaxed in steady flight. For a fast and maneuverable bomber the 110 can be a lot of fun tho.

I haven't flown the Japanese much beyond briefly checking out their handling, and I've tired of the Russian planes after about a year playing the sim.

So for me its probably the airplane and airforce with airplane the highest priority. The better I can fly and longer I last... the more satisfaction.

I fly them all with about equal probability depending on the available planeset. That's cause i play the game as role-playing and also because I know them all equally not very well. If only this Fieseler Storch were flyable http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif. Oh, and I don't fly large bombers very much. I think they are no fun outside coops.

No allegance to any nation, airforce, manufacturer or plane. I'll happily fly all the planes but I do have a particular liking to all the 190's especially the A6, P47's, Spitfire MkVIII, Mig3, P39N1, 109F4, Hellcat, Mustang MKIII and A20G.

I'm a serial monogamist - I flew the Dora exclusively for a year or so, then moved to the A-20G for a couple of months - now I'm flying the P-51 & learning the hard way at Warclouds http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I prefer early Red, all though I will sample other planes. Stick&Rudder over StarWars. So put me down for "xxx A/F".

The Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero is the plane of my choice, primarily because it's the plane I learned to "fly on" in Pacific Fighters / IL-2. I know it inside and out. Although it's outclassed by many other planes, the Zero's unbeatable maneuvrability is what I use to give my opponents some trouble. In one mission, I shot down 2 Mustangs with a first generation Zero. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

The next planes of choice are the BF-109G's (I feel it has a good power to weight ratio over the BF-109K), Spitfire, BF-110 and some of the Yak's. Don't like the Mustang, FW-190 etc. for some reason.

I like to try everything, though as i've been advised i do most of my training (as a noob) in just a few select aircraft, the spitfire, (cliche i know, but well, i'm british, and well, the hurricane understands) BF110, BF109 and P40. I do like to give them all a little spin now and again mind, mostly as in literally, into the ground...fast.

I feel i should get into bombers too, as it is a neglected part of the sim, though understandable. Well, have to give the good pilots something to shoot at after all...and if i'm in a bomber, i can have a more plausable excuse why i'm getting shot down lots http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

None of the above. My aim is to get as broad an idea as possible over the life of the sim what it was like (bearing in mind the limiations of "simulations" running on home PC's) to fly in aerial combat in the latter part of the first half of the last century.

I fly everything, but I mostly fly allied aircraft coz I fly allied in online wars (cept I fly Japanese in Forgotten Skies right now). But I am especially partial to flying bombers.
