I've only played the xbox version, but I think the PC has it beat. You get three teams instead of only two. You can also mod the game to your liking. I think graphics are pretty much a toss-up, depending on your PC's capabilities. The xbox is guaranteed to work, but I think a PC with the best hardware would outperform it. The xbox frustrates me that it seems to stop drawing at a very short range-definitely shorter than the range of the Barret .50 (M82/M98). It's sadly humorous that you can literally watch the trees being drawn as you inch closer. Not sure if this is such a problem in the PC version, but figure a better graphics card might alleviate it a bit...

PC has online paly, also, doesn't it?

PC version has so much modifing that people destroy the game by changing it. Consoles have much better controlling. PC version has better weapon kits, and probably even better graphics on some computers. But consoles only cost 180 or lower a PC that can run all the GRs and other good games are at least 800 or more. then throw in that PC have to be upgraded all the time to be worth while.

#1 GHOST RECON
#2 HALO
#3 SPLINTER CELL

XBOX IS 1000x better then gamecube.
XBOX is 10x better then PS2

Could you elaborate on that, please? How exactly do people destroy the game when they mod it? Or do I just hear jealousy speaking in your whole post?

Lapioj, you know we consolers are simple folk, with simple lives.. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif <-- this is what I look like when I smile!

we usually mean you PersonalComputerers no harm and no offence(..usually) so please dont confuse us with complicated words like E-lab-or-rate and eggsactlee. I dont know what they mean and have never used them before.

I would have to say ! has the best version from my limited xperience.

You always manage to make me laugh, Spider. I thank you for that. I didn't know you look like Snipe when you smile.

No offense meant toward Titan_34 (not much, at least). I just wanted to hear some explanations for his statements that people destroy the game by using so many modifications on it.

Oh, yeah. To stay on topic, I say PC has the best version of Ghost recon. And before you jump on me claiming that I don't know diddly-squat, because I haven't played the other versions, I'll tell you this: I have, in fact, tried the X-Box version.

I think that what he meant was that modding tends to take the game away from the original intent of the designer, which sometimes ruins the idea that the game initially stands for. So a lot of modding can ruin a game, in effect. I'd guess that PC is also more prone to cheating than xbox live as well.

In some cases, yes, extensive modding can take the game to a direction the designer didn't intend it to go. But, if the user wants it to be like that, why should we label it as wrong? The basis of the game is still there, underneath all those modificationss, intact. The mods can be deactivated and/or uninstalled, if the need be. Most of the available mods tend not to take the game to this "wrong" direction. On the contrary. They bring more depth to the game, thus extending its life-span. New maps, missions, weapons etc. All these mods have kept the game alive for the past three years. And they still do.

I agree with you on that cheating part. But it seems it has happened already on the X-Box front, though not in such large scale as it is going on in the PC world. But you have to remember, X-Box Live! is a relatively young system/network. As time passes and it becomes more and more popular, cheats will start to appear. But I do hope I'm wrong in saying that. You already have those glitchers, don't you?

GW-098, I apologize for de-railing your thread.

Tycho-lives, thanks for clearing up Titan_34's statement.

Perfectly understandable. I enjoy playing on consoles, too, mind you. It's just that first-person shooters on those machines have never quite been my cup of tea. I'm more of a driving/racing game fan when it comes to gaming on a console.

Ok. How about Personal Console/Computer? No? Fine, let's just say I like to vote outside of lists.
