Careful! I don't know if "choking the chicken" means something different where you're from, but on the west side of the pond, it makes your statement sound pretty funny.

A classic example of transatlantic miscommunication I think. Not unique either. Has anybody explained to Choctaw what 'fisting' means this side of the pond? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Well in Britain, `choking the chicken` actually means, choking a chicken, a bit like `killing the kitten`.

However, I have a pretty good feeling I know what the US term means now.

Actually I'm from the UK, and 'choking the chicken' is known to me and like everyone I know as something very different than what you think.

Well anyone who starts a sentance with "actually" must be posh, so maybe it's a posh thang. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Spank the Minkey, i've heard of and...have...erm...never...tried... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

But come on! choke the chicken!...NO!...really?

It reminds me of that scene in "Something about Mary" ...clean the pipes ...what?...get rid of the baby batter...huh! and of course afterwards when he opens the door to Mary and she says "is that hair gel?" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
