Does anyone know if there is any chance that we might see the yellow film removed from the glass on the Hellcat? It makes it very difficult to see out of the A/C when the sun hits it at certain angles.

Agreed.

Consider this a petition and sign it.

Unwanted handicap for this plane and it's really not all that realistic looking. I think a toned down version is seen on the Wildcat. I think one of the 109 models had this at one time. It was more noticeable on the sides and rear part of the canopy. That one was actually kind of cool looking and didn't really hinder the view much, but I believe it was taken out.

Maddox games, please remove the glass stains. It would be very appreciated.

This has my vote for sure.

This is completely realistic.

You see, that plane lacked a relief tube.

Pilots were not allowed to wear pants b/c they are flammable.

This one has my vote for sure... I hate to have to open the canopy to track targets... feel like I need to court-marshal my crew chief everytime I fly the Hellcat (and to a smaller degree the Wildcat)... please drag out the windex...

Still today 109's have it, eventhough less visible now.

Shameless bump. This would be great if this got fixed. Its not a whine at all, I like the effects on the glass of the planes but I think the ones done on the Hellcat are more pronounced than on other A/C and leave the pilot with a significant handicap.

Bump and my definite support

I love the yeloow stain! Just makes the canopy that much more pronounced (like reflections) and therefore the whole experience more immersive.

Well I flew the Hellcat last for the first time online in WarClouds. I loved the plane...but....the mung was so bad I couldn't spot ac below me in the ocean I had to give it up. If this doesn't get "cleaned up" I'll have to limit my time in it. I hate that because I ahve always loved the Hellcat and looked forward to flying it in PF.

Open the canopy.
A lot of pilots did back then

It's not only Hellcat.

I would like to see every FB-AEP-PF cockpit's window cleaned.

This is just not accurate that some planes are really suffering from bad reflexion and others are clean like cristal. Was the plexiglass so different from F4Us to F6F, from A6M2s to Ki43s, from Fw190s to Bf109s or from Yaks to Las?

The main reason is that the pilot static head modelized like in game + our screen resolution are already making the views much harder than in reality without any need to add a random "dirty plexi" to some plane.

Think about our eyes (and headhache) Oleg plz !!!

The problem isn't so much with the canopy but more with the front windscreen.

Welcome to the club, gents.

We've had that on the side and rear panels of Erla Haube Bf109G6 and later 109 models for quite some time.

Dev team, get rid of this on ALL planes. Museum yellowed perspex or plastic was not an issue during the war.
