I wanted to go but we had family events to attend, which happen to be at our private airport. No warbirds there though, unless you count a couple Stearman's or a Super Cub.

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gifNo, it wasn't a Big Show... but the Golden Knights, The Red Barons and the Air Forces ThunderBirds put on one Hec of a good show.
My brother went 2 days and sent me some of the Pictures he took.
If I was a little more computer literate... I'd post some of them. But I'm still catching up in that Department.

My buddy has some pics of the show. Especially the F-14 and good ones of the Tbirds.

i went. i gave it a thumbs down. none of the warbirds that were supposed to have been there showed up. i saw the low t-bird show and then their high show the next day. the Blue Angels do it better.

WOW! Lotsa KC Folks! I'm from the Olathe/Overland Park area, I had no Idea about you guys, we ought to organize a midwest FB LAN. And the show was great, the best was the F-14 Tac demo, YEEEAAAHH!! I agree with Thrud on the Warbirds, but the Sukhoi display more than made up for them, It's nice to see someone who can fly unlimited aerobatics and still do it gracefully.

I'm in OP too. I believe that several members of the 131st VFG are not too far away as well.

I would have to agree that the Blue Angels are better than the T-Birds. I've seen the Golden Knights and all that other **** a hundred times. If I do make the KC show I am rarely there for long. I miss the old Richards Gebauer(sp) show, it was always good, as far as modern hardware goes anyway.

They had a great airshow down in Joplin 3 weeks ago and the Whiteman's AFB show was on fathers day weekend. The show in Joplin had a B-29, B-24, B-17, B-25, and a lot of other good stuff.

Missed them both.

Unfortunately he only has the pics on film and not a cd. He is going to do that but I will ask him. I live in Olathe also. West of K7 in Indian Wells.

Ahhhh Olathe, I'm 151st down near Exectutive, nothing like two minute drive down a newly windened stretch of road to your hangar!

Todd,
I would guess that we are about 5 minutes away from each other.

So you are a real pilot. Excellent!! I am just a Marine Ground Pounder. Always wanted to fly but just too tall.
