Mine neither, but my status has changed from pre-ordered to ordered. No dosh off my card yet though.

Today's the busiest mailing day of the year in the UK, sort of has iceberg and Titanic written all over it as a day to start pumping mailable stuff out doesn't it?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Uk Retail Price ??29.99
$ to $ Exchange rate this morning 0.5096
So in the US that would equate to $58
Sounds to me like you're getting a good deal...

One particular supplier of Software/DVDs/CDs is able to offer a substantial discount by being based in an offshore Tax Haven (the Channel Islands) and exploiting a loophole on Tax charged on good that cost less than ??18 - hence them discounting it to ??17.99 but that is not the price that it will be sold at in retail stores...

Its swings and roundabouts mate...plenty of stuff is cheaper in the US than the UK (A Nikon Digital SLR I bought recently is advertised at $1499 dollars whereas I paid ??999)

As I understand it Go-gamer has sourced European copies so the content will be identical...

Jeez...such a fuss, because its released in Europe first (well UBI is a European company last time I looked) good job we don't moan as much when a film or game is released in the US months before its released over here!

Well i don't mind weather or not it's relaeserd in the UK 1st or not.

What bugs me is getting the short end of the stick....
IE, i don't want to have to pay more than some one else just because i live in a diferant location. if it cost 20 pounds in the UK then it should cost the exact equilant in USD as it does UK Pounds on the day it is relased as what the exchage rate is on that day. IMO

My only real gripe about the whole thing is have to order it form the UK in the 1st place.
Should have been relased here as well including all the same content.

So bsically i get a DVD of the entire FB Series, including the last 3 ad-ons + all patches, a second dvd with special content nd SoW previews, and a Poster?
someone correct me if i got that wrong.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I'm spending the waiting time doing running repairs on my rig, to both hard- and soft-ware. My guess is that Cat 6.12s will come out on Friday too. Anyway, I've flushed and refilled the water-cooling and given the rads a blow-through - as well as checking all electrical connections and removing dust from the case.
Windows-wise I've done some early Spring-cleaning. Backing up 4.05 to another drive seems prudent, and I've also pruned 10Gb of superfluous junk off my little Raptor. After a good defrag and resizing of partitions, I'm good to go.......

My colleague's partner is a manager at Game. Offered me anything I want on his staff 'huge discount' card. I dunno - I got serious issues with the fantasy stuff. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Hey LF, it's not like you're endorsing the UFOness of it by buying it, there's enough Il2-Real on there to make it worthwhile, and you'll need to be patched up to 4.07 to get the Spit XIV in 4.08. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Go on, you know you should. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Would there be a way to remove the offending articles from the programme once installed, without affecting the doubtless worthy content?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Just pretend its real.....if Westland had continued to develop the Whirlwind it may have ended up looking like the Lerche by 46 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

If Westland had kept their designer we'd have had the Westland Lightning and Canberra.

But I digress. I have very strong reservations about the the removal of inconveniant history and it's potential consequences. I don't think this is the thread to discuss such a subject. Maybe I'll start a new one - we can all place bets on how long it'll last before the lock.

Anyhow, looks like I'm getting a good deal on MTW2 and FSX. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Install took a while but all problems were down to my own incompetence/impatience. A full hard drive meant I had to ruthlessly cull some once loved games, once I'd cleared enough space etc., the '46 went on no worries. I was anticipating some trouble as my machine's 5 years old, but there wern't any.

Quick first impressions.

No problems installing unless it's self inflicted. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif

Runs fine even on my neanderthal machine (P4 1.5 mhz, fx5200, 512mb of RAM) definately no loss in performance, maybe even an improvement (haven't measured it or anything).

New joystick input thing.
Took the Spit VIII Clipped up for an initial spin. Much less skittish with pitch and yaw inputs, and much, much, much more stable when firing guns, alot less rattle and hum.

Nice. Going to thrash it for the rest of the day so...smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

46 has completely disappeared from my order history at Play.com. I have just noticed that cash was only taken from my account today. I have a bad feeling about this.

I just received a dvd from them today that was posted 2 days before 46. Talk about slow post http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

No sign of my copy which was posted on 14 according to Play.com

However my postman arrived very late today and he was wearing a flying jacket, humming the Dambusters theme tune and rode his bicycle down our road with both his arms outstretched as if he were an aeroplane...When he pushed my mail through the letterbox I heard him mutter...Postman one on final...bombs away

You don't think that could have anything to do with my missing delivery do you?

Goodby 4.04, Hellooooo 4.07.

Although the postman stuck the parcel in the compost bin.
A note he put through the door said "Parcel in wooden crate in garden". I thought, 'But I havent got a wooden crate in the garden'. Normally packages get left by the door, with a neighbour, or in the greenhouse. Then it dawned on me that he'd stuck it in the compost bin. It was covered in tiger worms and woodlice. Its now in my drive, and when Ive defragged Im installing.

Hope nobody has to wait past tomorrow.

It came here (East Devon) and arrived as part of breakfast in bed - tea, toast and marmalade, and '46 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I could hardly wait for my wife to go to work!
