I'm on vacation in USA and I'd like to get an american A-2 jacket but I don´t have a clue where to go ... So anyone of my fellow online pilots who can help me out and name a store in or close to San Francisco that has the A-2?

Thanks in advance for helping me out http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

An authentic A-2 Bomber jacket is ahrd to come by. If thats what your after you need to check around online.

If you can settle for a replica like I did, try a large shopping mall and look for a leather outlet store. I got a a nice A-2 Bomber jacket with a sheep skin coller for $175.00.

What part of the US are you in?
You can usually find them in an Army/navy surplus store. There aren't as many of the stores as there were years ago though. Look in the 'Yellow pages" of a phone book for a surplus store. I have also found them at swap meets and used clothing stores.
Good luck.

Check out Flight Suits" in El Cajon. Ask them to make you a "Historical A2". I own one and it is truly a fine piece of gear.
El Cajon is about 20 miles East of San Diego. You can look up Flight Suits on the www:

Anywhere that sells Cooper jackets is the place to get a "real A-2" jacket. I have seen them at many Army/Navy surplus stores, but online seems to be the best place to get them price wise. Avirex is a good brand too, I just prefer the Coopers as they have held strictly to the original design.

oh my god dood. I have the www.flightsuits.com (http://www.flightsuits.com) A-2. It is by far the best out there. This thing is to die for. Its so soft, and wonderful. You will love it. It's so bad azz that I am afraid to wear it lol. Thats cus I dont like to show off my style. My jacket made by flightsuits is by far 100x better then any other flight jacket out there, and it is by far better then people wearing their regular 'black' leahter jackets. Flight Suits uses 1 piece leather on the back, and thats a major trademark.
