I'd like to see this also as aircraft disappear in this region. But if thats the way it is in real life, I can live with it.

Having flown a lot in commercial airliners...planes do not disappear at 30,000 ft. The request is a good one that will improve high altitide game play.

Yes please, the current dark colour modelling at high altitude should begin to be noticeable at 40,000 not 25,000.

Skins can be brightened in a photo/paint program. I have not used this yet, for this purpose, but have noticed that many undersides...Soviet Blue...a very light blue, show up well at high altitudes when viewed from below against the Deep Blue Sky. The effect is stunningly immersive when running at high resolutions (high res also helps aircraft identification without icons).

Also, stars coming out at 7km altitude at 1200 hours is not good either. Yes, Saburo/Caiden could see bright stars in daylight, but we are not them. Hopefully, Oleg's BoB will have total realistic night sky modding like LOMAC, with real star positions and brightness down to (guess) magnitude 5 at least, and real star colours for the brightest stars. LOMAC night skies are marvelous, allowing visual navigation when the systems break down, although limited to one time of year only--late summer--when Orion is near the sun. One of very few places where LOMAC got Porked is their use of the classic Arcade Gaming Moon (and always the standard full moon of computer games, with no other lunar phases). That thing is Huge. FB has the correct size moon, but sadly, only a few phases and times of rise and set, depending on map.

agreed, also we need some clouds up there as well, 1500m max makes no sense.

I have never posted a complaint about this game but this is the exception to the rule. As others have pointed out, when you fly a commercial airline @30,000 ft. (yes I am metric challenged!) the sky is BRIGHT blue. For allied escort and german intercept missions this is a major, major drawback (how can one see a black dot viewed against a galactic background?). This sim is such a fine product I can't believe that a seemingly minor glitch cannot be corrected. Keep up the posts and hopefully we will all be happily surprised soon!

High alt modeling will be different in BoB. Doubt it'll ever be changed substantially for FB:PF though.

I also agree. But I think we should see some towering thunderheads, and what ever happened to a picturesque anvil cloud off in the distance. These things would be nice to fly into. Easier said than done I guess.

this request will sadly lead nowhere, i've asking for this several times and answer was always "no time".

i support it still, current sky may be OK at 20km, but not up to 13000m (highest alt i've been in RL).

lighter blue please.
