I'm just wondering whether or not we will get a 25 pound boost mossie in the next patch, I know we are getting a mossie but a 25 boost one would be nice as well.

Mossie in the next patch http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Hmmmmmm...

We shall see, we shall see. It will be coming eventually, but, then again, so is doomsday.

The only engine that the Fighter/Bomber Mossquitos recived that was cleared for +25 lbs boost was the Merlin 25. There were only 3 squadrons equipped with Mosquitos with Merlin 25s, most others had either the Merlin 21, 22 or 23. I'd rather have a more representative type, like a Merlin 21 at +16 lbs boost or a Merlin 25 at +18 lbs boost, than a +25 lbs monster.

Its not really representative of the family, with limited use and limited roles. They actually shot down ~430 V1s and were one of the most sucessful types against the flying bombs. Only the Tempest V did better.

I know, I just thought I'd mention it seeing as how the +25 pound spit IX is getting so much attention.

imp i think the 25's where more commen than that, unless the 21,22,23 where better, think they had higher alt superchargers settings.

ill haveto see if i have a breakdown of engine types and stuff.

a 25lb mossie should actully be faster than the lw, down low http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

2TAF records have listings for only 3 squadrons converted to run at +25 lbs boost. There may of been some ADGB squadrons who operated at this level as well, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

I'll have to check my references. There is an ADGB memo dated 19th September for Mossies with 25lbs boost, but I don't have squadron numbers.

ah, i thought u ment only 3 with 25engines @ any rating.

be cool to have 25lb boost mossies tho, for uber late war hax.

gotta be as commen as a ta152 and p63 on western front? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

shame they never made the uber mossie with sabres, imagine a FB version of one of them http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

There were only ~150 odd Ta-152s built right? I would like to see it but only in addition to a more common FB VI. The 25 pound boost would help to keep it competitive late war.

yes http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

its also needed so that escorting p51 and tempests dont outpace the mossie to much.

also we could have really potent strike force, which amusingly is fully capable at operating in excess of the k4's top speed @ low level, for nearly the entire duration of the mission http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

If we can only have one version I would prefer one that's representative, not uber, and preferably a FB with lots of guns in the nose. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
