Sounded like Czech...

But you can hear some German pilots talking on the RT somewhere in the middle of the video

"Viktor, Viktor, fahren Sie 320, 320, Anfrage Viktor"
"Viktor, Viktor"
"Feindlicher Verband, Anfrage Viktor"

To all interested there is a way to save these clips on HD.

You need to download flv player in order to watch them. Also you must visit this link to get real link for downloading. http://feelingtea.com/decode/google/

Sorry this one does not impress me.

We have seen all this footage before, and in this clip it is edited to be deceiving. On the other versions of this clip that attacking plane is idetified as a Bf-110 (some version of it) and this clip is edited to give the impression that the attacking plane is 109.

What I want to know is?
As this is my favourite pursuit. (Downing B17s/24s)
Anytime I get that close. I end up with an oiled windscreen and a redening screen.
Has anyone managed to take them pesky rear gunners out.
And yes the clip is a conglomeration of various bits of well known film

Gunners can be killed quite easily especially with .50cals. With large calibar like 30mm there is no need for picking out the gunners one BnZ pass will suffice.

Aim for outter wing, most of the bombers are very fragile there.
And the crew will also have a time for bailout.

Wolf is smug and sheep all alive http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

I've often had the same problem so I started attacking from above or below. It's harder to get a hit but atleast you'll do more damage this was and are more likely to survive.

I don't know if the 109 damage is modelled correctly as I have never flown a real one in combat, but I am suspicious anyway.

Another possibility would be to approach the bomber's six in a barrel roll before getting close enough to do damage. This would also take some practice.

I haven't seen much guncam footage of attacks on bombers from their 6, but all the ones I have seen had no return fire from the bomber. I often thought that was odd. Maybe the rear gunners we easy to take out?

Best anti bomber tactic I have discovered so far is the one used by AI fighters when they are attacking bombers.
That is attack from 6 o' clock high! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Seriously you gotta try this one; approach directly from bomber 6 o clock but high, have a decent speed -- preferably noticeable more than bomber. Then when bomber is almost directly below you roll over like a Ju-87 on bomber then straighten up and fire in dive on fat bird.
In most cases you wont even be scratched but you will hammer down the bomber.

I tried that, with the exception of rolling over. I'll have to try that later today.

When I attack from directly about or directly below, I tend to aim for the pilot. The reason is simple, although it doesn't work in the game. If you kill the pilots, the crew should bail, therefore saving more lives. But, in the game no one bails when the pilot is dead. I guess they are waiting for his orders. Seems they were nazi trained. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

BTW, did see your thread in PT lastnight but it was late so I figured I'd answer today. Anyways, the site is blocked here in Beijing.

Hey @ PJ I know that sounds quite confusing so I quickly made a track. Attacking a ace B-17 formation on ~7k.
It isn't a school example but it is example nonetheless since I didn't get PKed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

bomber attacking track (http://free-vk.t-com.hr/domagoj/tracks/402__kunabf-109g14_v_4xb-17g.zip)

The really hard part consists of basically two parts;
1.You must have speed; in my attack I appoached B-17s on 400kph IAS and that is God knows how much in TAS on 7000m. In dive I didn't even looked on my speed gauge.
2.Hit the bomber every time do not miss. It is painfull procedure so if you don't inflict mortal damage in first pass you will have to work again for next pass.

btw for school example approach set AI on ace level and let them do some bnz work. Their approach is flawless (gunnery isn't tho).

I will try to find this player on the net tho. I saw some shareware stuff, but I think this will suffice http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

But this one I posted above plays it perfectly.

Don't know why it wont play it works just fine on my PC (win XP Pro).
Perhaps it has something to do with OS?
Do you have latest Flash Player installed? (http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.c...rsion=ShockwaveFlash (http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash)) Maybe it is related...

I'm not really an expert on this... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
