Here (V408 trk - 45KB) (http://www.vanjast.com/IL2Movies/Overshoot.zip) I let a Yak3 have the advantage, yet it loses it (Ok it's AI http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ).

An simple example how to counter the BnZ. You let him come it at an angle of 30-45 degrees, pull at the last moment and roll with him, keeping your eye on him using any control to get your nose in his direction - you must do this quickly otherwise he'll be out of range in no time.
Once he/she sees tracers going past their cpit, they'll be more carefull next time, slowing down the frequency of attacks, or they'll even (wisely) move on.

Nice...
Now see, Ladies and Gentleman.. even when you are flying a 'less capable' aircraft, if you have the right attitude you are still very very dangerous, and if your opponent relaxes too much.. that'll be the last time he/she relaxes... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

DKoor, you know that you will be 'jailed' for using the IL2 as a dogfighter.. it was not made for that sort of thing... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

I once, online, came up against a stuka flying low, and this guy used it very well as a dogfighter.

I was at advantage on each attack, but his defensive moves were very good, and he'd get that plane onto my six in no time, forcing me to fly defensively and in doing so thwarted every one of my attacks.

Only after flying away some distance and then sneaking up a few metres above the ground, did I get a good attack in, doing only minor damage, but then it was time for me to go home.

As one can see, if you have a defensive plan... The other having 'advantage', doesn't always work, and it can make them lazy...
