In terms of ground action I haven't seen many missions like this (I have downloaded long time ago the first version) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif.
I'm curious about the new version but I have to wait till I buy Pe2 addon or later.

yes there are lots of objects.... and lag can be a problem....I am used to dropping to half-speed if necessary

those with hot rigs should drop from Perfect settings to excellent

Not to be too critical as all of those objects are so nicely placed but don't you think thats over the top? The player shouldn't have to worry about their settings...they should just be able to jump into your mission/campaign and have fun like they always do.

Looks a bit over the top for computer world scenarios. But they are well placed so I'm not criticising that part of the design...looks like a blast if it will run alright. Not sure yet.

its not the number of ground objects taht causes lag, its the number of TYPES of objects. the computer can more easily draw 500 of 3 types of objects than it can draw 20 of 10 types of objects (just an example-maybe not completely accurate). In Bird brains cactus dairy cmpn, there are litterally over a thousand trees around henderson field, but not that many types of trees.

It also matters if they are moving objects or not...moving ones kill much more FR than stationary one.

still, it looks like it does have a good bit of stuff.

I have always tended to 'overload' my missions with stuff http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I do more ground attack than dogfighting and like to make it as realistic as possible and also have nice things to look at whilst flying to the mission on autopilot or after death

certainly the vehicle convoys tend to use more fps than the same number of individual vehicles... but they also react differently when in a traffic jam situation... it is nice to have both

Now and then even with the sacrifice of FPS one should try such missions as Fabianfred's, it's really immersive to feel and see while flying/attacking that one flies for those poor guys in the dirt. "Normal" ground attack missions tend to be many times sterile, exactly because the mission builder is afraid to put many objects on the place of action for the sake of FPS. IT makes WWII ground look like: 3 trucks here, one tank there and the silence everywhere...

thanx Lowfighter....
I knew there would be some out there who would understand

I've also re-done 'Tankers hell" and that will be up soon... less lag too than 'Bridgehead'

the Quick Mission Tuner utility is great for that kind of thing... just changing a/c etc. without messing around in the FMB

the new ground vehicles and guns I used will probably just not appear...(or do they crash the mission loading??) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif
